Working Full Time At A Desk Job And Looking For Simple Exercises
I purchased a Spin Gym from HSN dot com and I use it to tone my upper body and it does work. You can use free weights of course or whatever you have available (bottled water, a band etc) to do arm toning. As far as my thighs, I stand next to my chair and do leg lifts, squats and lunges.

July Sleevers----Where Ya At? :-)
- How Long Did Your First Stall Last :(
My first stall lasted for 3 weeks and that included my TOM. It did not go up at all and before surgery I would gain 4 or 5 pounds during my TOM.- Lapbandtalk.com
I too was originally going to get the band but after doing research and watching videos on youtube about how the stomach tissue grows over the band and how the stomach deteriorates under the band, I quickly changed my mind. Also, the long term results were not good in the cases I have seen. I do know of some people that have been successful with the band though but they are exercise FANATICS because by their own admission if they weren't they would gain again.- July Sleevers----Where Ya At? :-)
Way to go! I too was sleeved on July 18th. This definately has been an amazing journey even with the ups and downs.- Noticing A Pattern With Carbs

Thanks for the responses. I have tried all over the counter acid reducers and they did not help and that is why I had to resort to getting a prescription in the first place. I still have some of the OTC brands left though not many cause I used most of them up trying to get them to work. The acid was horrible in the beginning. Even drinking sips of Water would start it up really bad to the point I wasn't eating. Trust, I would not spend $93 on medication unless it was needed. I am just happy that there is a solution to the feeling of being hungry all of the time. Because I was able to go several days without the dexilant does give me hope that the acid will probably go away though in the long run. @Sannah, you are right, it pays to call around from pharmacy to pharmacy, I learned that many, many years ago regarding any type of shopping. It actually costs $170 where I ended up getting it from and I was quoted prices up to $210 from other places and this was factoring in all of the other stores discounts and gift cards that they give if you transfer a prescription. So the cost went from $170 to $93 after store discount and a coupon from the dexilant website. Yes, many drug companies offer coupons on their meds cause they know they are so expensive. So if you have to pay for a script, just check the website for coupons.- Could It Be? Light Bulb Moment
I am about 7 weeks post op and I am finding that for the past couple of days or so that I am hungry or wanting to eat more later after dinner. Well, I have been on Dexilant for acid for about 4 weeks and about three weeks ago was the last time I took one of the pills. I've been trying to wean off of them because my insurance won't pay for them and they run me $93 for 30. Anyway, I have read that acid will mimic hunger pains and my dinner is usually my largest meal which probably produces the most acid. Well it just occurred to me that the feelings I am having are not hunger but are probably acid. As bad as acid is, it would be a relief that the feelings are acid and not me constantly wanting to eat. I will definitely continue to take the pills and see if this helps. Maybe I can take the pills every two days or so. What do you think? Could it be acid that I'm feeling?- 1 Year And 5 Months Post Op! 105Lbs Down- Inches Are Steady Falling Off!

Congrats! I will be joining you very soon, July 18th. Your story does sound familiar.- How Much Time Should I Take Off From Work?
I'm scheduled for surgery on July 18th and I also work from home. I work 8 hours 5 days a week answering the phone. Although I don't do any heavy lifting, I requested 4 - 6 weeks off because I don't want to be "chained" to my chair for my recovery period. I may work part-time after 2 weeks but I haven't decided. I think that if you "need" to go back then you may be fine working part-time. If you can schedule your time in blocks, that would be even better. If I choose part-time hours, it will have to be done straight through with one 15 minute break and sitting in one spot may not be comfortable. I guess you won't be able to make a decision until you see how you're feeling after surgery.- Sleeved Today

Hi Lyn, I am in the Atlanta area so there are several bariatric surgeons in the area. I plan to visit some of their WLS seminars when I get a chance. Also, a most of them have support groups so talking face to face with others may be helpful as well. HTH- Bowel Movement, There I Said It
I took my son to the doctor for this problem and he suggested Miralax. It causes the colon to absorb water which softens the stool, I think. Anyway, it works.- 2 Month Body Shot Update
