6 weeks of separation...
Keep positive. I had sugery Oct 7, 2010 and I am down 33 pounds. I am like you and throw up normally once a day and it appears to be all sliming. I have noticed when I start to get the sliming feeling, I sip my Water and sip my water and it has make that go away within a few minutes. I have really been doing the excercise and I can tell. My butt is thinner and my thighs can breath! Yea. My goal is to loose 40 pounds before Thanksgiving. I know that I am really asking too much but I will continue to try and eat, eat, eat. Jovonia

Post-Op Nausea
I would recommend everyone getting on a digestive enzyme. I went to the herb shop and got a liquid one and it has changed my life. My sliming is down to a bare minimum and I feel so much better. Jovonia

Protein Shake Alternatives
As for me, I lived on egg drop soup for my one week pre op diet. Lost over 10 pounds and was very happy with the results. As for the Protein shake part. I would suggest everyone go to GNC. You can buy their product and if you dont like bring it back full refund (with receipt). I have this stuff it is the extreme 60 whey protein (choc flavor) and I also got their shaker cup that has the metal ball in the middle. That will help due away with powder forming and will break it all up. I am extremely happy with this product. I put 12 oz of organic low fat milk with 1 1/2 scoops and it tastes like a choc shake from McD's. Jovonia

3 Weeks Post Op - Oct 7, 2010
Hi everyone. This is a story for all of you that are thinking about having the VGS and for those that have already had it, I need help. I started off thinking about the lap band and then decided that was not for me because of so many differnt horror stories. I then choose to take the VSG and left the full by pass an option that I would take if I did not loose the entire 100 pounds that I wanted. Oct 7, 2010 I weighted in at the hospital, surgery morning, at 251.8 pounds with aBMI of 41. The first week I will tell you was crazy. I am burping up slim all the time and when I do it (about five teaspoons) is all that I can eat. I will start sliming (if you want to call it that) and If I do not spit it out, I will throw it up. On the second day after surgery, I had heart burn and indigestion so bad, I was wondering why I did such a stupid thing. I got up and made a HUGE bowl of fruite pebbles with milk. I had two bites with milk and was full and within 15 minutes the indigestion was gone and has never returned. I returned to work after two weeks and it was fine. I walked five times a day at least 10 minutes every time. My goal was to go further and further each time I walked. You must chew your food very good and eat slow. Do not make anything to drink when you sit down to eat, because that is a no no. At week two I weighted in at 226, yes I had lost over 25 pounds. Then as I enter week three I am still at the same weight. I am walking one mile a day five days a week and I am eating about 500 calories per day. I am lucky if I get 24 oz of wanter and yes, I only pea once a day. I have had two bowel movements since surgery. THat took about two weeks before my first bowel movement. I faithly take my liquid vitamins and calicum daily. I have not been doing Protein Drinks at all. My diet consist of what ever I want. I am not a big steak eater so that has not been an issue. I chew my food very well. DO NOT EAT RICE!!!!! I need help from you veterans, why am I not loosing. I think because i have not been doing my Protein Shakes? I am starting tonight before I go to bed! I am also starting to do my work outs on Monday. I am open to any suggestions. Please ask any questions, I will be more than happy to answer. Jovonia - St. Louis

They`re calling me..
My motivator was if I eat those fries my liver will not shrink and it could kill you. If I wanted candy, that is what I would think that one small candy bar could kill me if my liver has not went down in size. I lost 10 pounds in one week on liquid diet. I had egg drop soup, broth from top roman noodles, sugar free popsicles, diet soda a few saltines every now and then. You can do it. Jovonia - St. louis

4 and 1/2 weeks since surgery
I am three weeks out (surgery was Oct 7). I am walking every day about one mile and I have noticed when I walk I feel much better. I am currently at 227 and started at 251. My biggest problem is getting the liquids in. Does anyone have a solution. I am able to eat about five bites of food and then if I eat one more, I throw it up. Not sure how much weight I should be losing but I wish it would come off faster. What is Resourse Breeze? I have had head achs all my life on a daily basis. SInce surgery, I have NOT had a head ache yet! HMMMM. Jovonia - St Louis
