Black Widow and eggs in my garage

This picture was sent to our hospital employees. The Brown Recluse Spider is the most dangerous spider that we have here in the USA. A person can die from it's bite. We all should know what the spider looks like, so I've attached a photo. Brown Recluse Spider bites are dangerous and can have permanent and highly negative consequences. Brown Recluse spiders like the darkness and tend to live in storage sheds, wood piles, attics or other areas that might not be frequented by people or light. These spiders are aggressive. Please be careful. People will be digging around, doing yard work, spring cleaning, or sometimes even working in their attics, and get bitten. If you have a need to be in your attic, go up there and turn on a light and leave it on for about 30 minutes before you go in to do your work.

    3 years out

God Vera! You look GREAT! Congratulations on getting to/BELOW goal! You've got a great looking family, your babies are so cute. I loved the koolaid smile too. I hope you feel at least half as good as you look!

    Wellbutrin to Celexa Switchero

My mother was on Wellbutrin, then welbutrin and prozac combined, but it wasn't working, so she was switched last year to celexa. She's having great results with it. She's lost weight and feels better than she's felt in a really long time. To date I know of a small handful of people on it, and haven't heard any negative feedback on it yet. Good Luck to you with it, I hope it works for you too.

    Exercise Today

I'm doing half an hour of Jane Fonda aerobics... I've been doing it daily for over a week, and I'm seeing results already. This is the first real commitment I've made to seriously exercise in years. So far so good. I've lost 4 of the 20 plus pounds I'd regained!

    Restaurant Menus: Overwhelming?

I am amazed at how different our individual experiences are. I can't eat pasta, & I love it, but my band hates it. Rice on the other hand... I can eat loads of it!

    Don't Complain about your Government

Probably not. I missed the now apparent link to some other conversation, and am not really familiar with your writings, so I didn't get it. The more we learn of one another the more we learn to read the "tone" lost in texting translation. As I originally said, I just wondered what you meant by that. Vines... as usual.. you crack me up!

STUPID f'n band! what is WRONG!!!

have they looked into what they are filling your bands with, and the osmosis issues other bands have had? If your band is permeable at all, and they put saline (salt solution) in it, your body will push Fluid from your circulation into the saline in order to dilute the salt for balance, which can cause overfilling of your band. I don't know that this is your issue, but the midband and it's fill solution had to be reformulated for exactly that reason. Now the midband fill solution is 50% Iopamidol, and 50% saline, so it's balanced and the band is less permeable... Just something to consider with the way a small fill gets tighter and tighter for you.
  8. It depends on what you do at your job. I work on a hospital unit with lots of heavy lifting. I went back 2 weeks after, but should have waited another week. I felt ok initially, but after a night of work, I hurt like hell, and the after the second night, I could barely walk out to go home. By the next week I was fine.
  9. Not me, I don't like them either. I have several types of the powder mix in the cabinet that I'd tried. I didn't like any of them. I try to make sure I eat enough solids.

    Whippledaddy Has Passed Away

Like the others, I am deeply saddened by the loss of Ryan. My prayers go out to Patty for peace and strength. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. I know his thoughtful writings deeply touched all of us. While he often thanked those of us here for the support we offered him, I wonder if he knew how much he gave all of us? He was a truly special man. Thank you Greg for letting us know.

    Don't Complain about your Government

I personally wasn't offended, I was just questioning the the very broad statement. Since you used the word "you", the question is directed at who ever reads it. I was curious as to why you thought I/we deserved it.

    Don't Complain about your Government

I dunno about that one... I didn't vote for either bush. I am a very peaceful, caring person who always puts the well being of others first. I deserve this government?

GOD I wish I loathed ice cream!!
  14. My only preop was nothing to eat after midnight the night before surgery. I had a really nice prime rib dinner at around 8pm, a glass of wine, and no complications. I agree with the others, it depends on the surgeon.

    Ex still hanging on

Sounds like he was keeping you on the hook and only using you to pad the fall as he jumps between other women. Do the other women know he calls and emails? If he continues to harass you, or try and control or use you... I'd forward a few of those emails to let the girls know what they really have in him... an emotionally abusing rat!

Does anyone have a Mid Band?

My midband fill is 50% saline with 50% iopamidol. The midband initially had problems with osmosis, and fluid shifting into the bands causing overfills, so the bands were reconfigured and the fill solution reformulated.

Does anyone have a Mid Band?

The Midband is the french band from Lyons, France. It's a completely pliable band with no hard or sharp areas. It is said to have little or no erosion risk, and so far has a much lower reported incidence of slippage than american bands. It is not FDA approved, so american aftercare is nearly nonexistent.

Does anyone have a Mid Band?

I also have the midband. It will be 2 years in Sept. I am going for my first fill since surgery next month, but I've been needing one for several months. I lost almost 90 pounds but lost all restriction around march and have gained back over 20. I was given a 6cc fill at surgery, but I think either I've somehow lost it or my stomach really shrank!

Have you been checked for pancreatitis, or kidney stones? Pain from those are similar to what you describe.

    Hoodia anyone??

My husband is using it as well, and he feels like it's working for him. No feelings of jitters or anything.

    Hoodia anyone??

I'm right there with you Paula... i've gained over 10 pounds back from crappy eating. We've had WAYYY too much holiday candy and goodies in the house. I'm so glad it's spring and the biggest holidays are gone for a while! I ordered the spray hoodia from ebay @ $6.99 + $5 s&h. I'm on day 3. It's doing it's thing so far, seems to have increased my restriction, and I only get slight diet pill jitters. Mine recommends 3 sprays under the tongue before each meal. It has a tart lemon flavor. So far I'm only using it once each morning, and it's enough. I took it in the late afternoon on the first day, and it interfered with my sleep. The ingredients in mine is first purified Water, then hoodia cactus, then garcinia, followed by citric acid, guar gum cambogia, banaba leaf extract, and lycopene.

How's the Hoodia working La Madam?

I had been under the impression that you need a passport now to get into Tijuana, and the costs of that, the trip, and the fill combined have made me resist scheduling an appointment. Now that I've ordered the hoodia spray, I find that the law for passports into Tijuana hasn't passed yet. Go figure. ok so after about 4 months of no weight loss, and actually a few pound gain, I'm on day 3 of the hoodia spray. It seems to increase my restriction so far. That may or may not change once I take it a while, but so far it's helping. I purchased mine on ebay, at about $6.99 plus $5 shipping. It recommends 3 sprays 30 minutes before a meal. I also get the diet pill jitters a little bit. I'm only using it once a day so far, first thing in the morning. I am prone to cardiac pvc's with too much caffeine or lack of sleep so I was a little worried this would cause it too. It hasn't yet. Is it still working for any of you?
  23. Do you still have your gall bladder, and if you do, have you had it checked? Cholecystitis can cause vomiting, shoulder or back pain, amd the vomiting could have caused a slip... just a thought.

    Insomnia and Lunesta

I also deal with sleepless nights, partly because I work 7pm to 7am on the weekends, then try to be a normal first shift wife and mom through the week. It's hard sometimes to get a normal sleep cycle. But sleepless nights have been a problem for me for years, even prior to night shift. My doc recently gave me samples of both lunesta 3 mg and ambien 5mg to try. Both worked well for me, so I let her decide, and she gave me a 'script for lunesta 3 mg. I thought it was pretty pricey, I paid $43 after my insurance... (it was around $150 for 30 without). At first I felt very drowsy in the am (that lasted just a few mornings, like Penni said, til up and around). So I tried taking half to see if it was enough, it worked ok. However, DO NOT CUT THEM IN HALF! They taste flippin' HORRIBLE! I also woke up each morning tasting a very strong acrid metallic flavor, like I'd chewed tinfoil all night. It is a chemical reaction, not an actual flavor, so teeth brushing doesn't help it subside. My doc said it's a very common reaction. It does wear off after a couple of hours awake. It did work really well helping me sleep fall asleep quickly, stay asleep all night, or fall back to sleep quickly if I woke up to use the bathroom. I'm out now, but I think I'm going to try the melatonin before I refill my script. If the melatonin doesn't help, I'm going to use the lunesta again because it does work really well.
