The laser weight loss is an accupressure type procedure, using low level (usually cold) lasers to suppress the nerve that causes hunger and cravings. The theory makes sense. For $30 I'd test it a time or two. Maybe it IS a good thing. Good luck, and keep us posted... I'd be in a size 7 by now if I could quit craving chocolate and frappecinno's!

Your transformation so far has been fabulous, I can't wait to see what the next few months brings. You challenge yourself more and more, and so far you've met or exceeded most of those challenges! We've all witnessed it here. Here's to the future more fabulous, more fit DeLisa! You're a great inspiration considering all you've been through, and yet you STILL keep moving in the right direction. You deserve every bit of your successes, I hope they keep coming your way.

Just ad new side by side pics to our web site

You do look great, and both of you look so much younger. Amazing, you must feel like new people! -
New moms can really benefit from the book "what to expect the first year" they seem to really appreciate it. It's a sequel to "what to expect when you're expecting" that's full of good experiences and advice from other mothers. I give it with a gift basket of baby items. They can use the book for at least a year!

the 175 to 190 range would definitely put you in the hot bod category.

Is there any easy way to clear or delete new posts, without having to go into each one so that it is no longer considered a new post? I'm not always able to clear out posts daily, so they are really stacking up. I like to see the new stuff posted on a day to day basis when I can, when I can't I'd like to be able to clear them out with a click or select or something, so I can keep up better. Currently unless I open each one individually, it seems to stay so my new posts are numbering in the high 400's... at this rate they'll hit the thousands soon...is there an easier way?

Hey thanks!

I bought my first bikini last summer. A couple of weeks ago we went north on a snowmobiling vacation, and I had to wear a teeshirt over my suit in the lodge pool, because it was too big! I felt so great that I could even wear a bikini last summer, I can't tell you how good it felt when it was too big!

Lap Band & Port Pulled from Ebay
PamRN replied to Chris S. - L.I.'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
someone tried to sell a band on ebay? New I hope! several years ago a human liver was listed, it got to over a million $ before ebay pulled the plug on it. -
How about making a healthy snack foods request? Fruit pizza, yogurt parfaits, smoothies (spiking optional), veggie trays, chicken wings w/ lowfat dip, cheese sticks etc... I'd be willing to bet a lot of the women in your club are also trying to lose a few pounds in their resolutions too and would be happy to participate, and then you can freely bring whatever you can best eat.... if not accepted... still take your own... you don't want to be in pain, or in the bathroom pb'ing while they all wait for you.

I agree with honoring mom for helping out so much with the wedding, maybe a thank you in the reception speech. Does dad already know a wedding is taking place, and has HE offered to help? The day belongs to the bride and groom, if they want him there he should be there, if they don't he shouldn't. If they feel they need to invite him but don't feel like he's due any honors, don't give him any. We're all familiar with the saying that any man can be a father, but love makes a man a dad. Worry about pleasing the people who care enough to try and please you or in this case... the bride.

Three Good Deals Today.....A Great Way to Start the New Year....

Congratulation, that is so awesome! Where is the museum located? Maybe some nearby bandsters could take it in and show support! You go girl! -
Signs of infection can vary, but most generally include; redness over the area, swelling, hot to the touch, sharply painful to touch, running a temperature greater than 99, any oozing at the site, particularly opaque, greenish to yellow in color. It can be any or all of these things in stages. If you have these you should have a doctor take a look.

If I didn't have kids I'd be signing up right now for a cruise line nursing job! That sounds like my dream job! Congratulations, I'm very envious!

antidepressants/psych meds?
PamRN replied to Monica S's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My mother has switched through just about all the meds already listed, and still had issues with severe depression. This summer her doc put her on the newer one Cymbalta. She crashed severely for a week or so. We were worried about how low she fell, but then she leveled off and now feels better than she has in years. She's also experiencing a pretty steady slow weight loss, after so many of the others caused about a 50 pound weight gain. I think this one is finally working. If you aren't getting results... keep trying. It's wonderful to see a person come back to life. -
The night before surgery I had prime rib, salad, a baked potato and a glass of wine. It was heavenly!

I got the kodak easy share 740 digital with the printer dock for my birthday in October and I'm still learning how to get the most out of it. I love it, but I'm also noticing that holding the button halfway in to focus then grabbing a quick shot works well, but I still end up with a lot of missed shots when I'm not ready. I love the camera printer dock, and the rechargeable batteries are a godsend. I used to change batteries at least once everytime I took my old one somewhere!

Welcome back Zoe! I was just thinking of you and hoping you'd reappear soon! I'm glad to hear you're feeling better, I know just what you mean about needing the support and humor here... I find I need everyone here for support to fight off the bad bandster demons...

I really like all the changes. The new logo is sharp, and I think it might just be a little easier to get around the site now. Thanks from the bottom of my band for this awesome site. I personally am many pounds lighter because of it!

I have the midband. It takes a contrast/saline solution for fills. The self filling issue was resolved by adding the contrast to the saline. I was given a 6cc fill at surgery and to date have not needed another one. I have been at my sweet spot to the tune of 92 lbs lost. I am beginning to consider a slight increase as I seem to have be stalling here at this weight. I've only lost 3 lbs in the last 4 months. I seem to lose and regain the same 3 to 4 lbs never dipping below the 92 mark. I chose to have a midband because of the statistics showing very low risk of slippage or erosion. As there is no real aftercare in my area for bands, I'll need to go back to Tijuana for care. Since I'll have to travel so far, I wanted the band that was at the least risk for complications. So far so good!

I had one session of laser hair removal, it was $112.50. I did feel the heat of it when it got near boney areas of my chin but overall, no afterburn and no serious pain during. I didn't use any pain gels or ice. I have no noticeable change yet in hairgrowth. They tell me it could take a few visits for a noticeable difference, and 8 to 12 before the hair loss is permanent. They also told me no sun, & use a strong sunblock. Now that the holidays are over I plan to go again and see if there's any difference after 2 or more visits. GentleSpirit, What I've read is once it starts growing in an area, it stays. I haven't had any lessening of hair growth and I've lost 92 lbs. As far as I know I don't have PCOS, and my hair growth started with my progressive weight gain. I'd love to see it slow or stop, if I don't shave it daily, you can see it clearly. UGH!

How often will you use the Chat room ?
PamRN replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'd use it anytime I'm on and people are in there. The few times I checked the last one, it was always empty. -

Maybe I'm a lil slow here, but what are you talking about? -
