I have PCOS and have had to use fertility drugs for my first two children. I got my surgery march 2012, got pregnant May 31st 2012. Be careful not to get pregnant within the 1st year. I never in a millions years would have thought I could get pregnant without fertility drugs. I didn't find out I was pregnant until mid July. I Had a healthy happy baby. Only gained 11# and she was 8.8#s. However I did have a complication with my surgery and had to have a reversal and gained everything back. Just had it done again and Now I'm post op day 4.
First time around I lost 56# before I got pregnant.

Maybe there is an obstruction? I had one with the plication. To find out you have an upper GI done.

Yes I had popped a stitch too. My circumstances were a little different though. I had plication done with OCC march 2012 and got pregnant May 2012, popped the stitch at 7 months pregnant. Had my baby c-section feb 2013 and stomach collapsed and cause an obstruction June 2013. Had to have emergency surgery to reverse plication and spent a week in the hospital.
Not fun at all but I don't have any regrets or blame Dr. Ortiz.
Had a upper GI done Nov 2014 and everything is normal. Signs of esophagus scaring, the X-ray tech asked if I had lots heartburn but I do not at all. Could of been due to the tune they put down my nose to my stomach to drain the blood during the ordeal.
Today is a new day, new year actually ????and I am starting my journey once again. Going back to Dr. Ortiz and getting revision in 15 days. Started my pre-op diet today.

I had a complication with my plication that was done with Dr. Ortiz but it's kind of unique and I don't think it was his fault per say. Just a sequence of events that lead up to it happening. Anyway I am going back to him this month for a revision.

Has anyone ever just ate something unconsciously without thinking about it and perhaps suffered the consequences. I have my surgery tomorrow and feel like during the first few weeks I am just going to pick up some chips and start munching without even realizing it. I would hate for this to happen and end up being in major pain. I don?t I?m just worried I guess and feel like how is this really going to be afterwards. I have done it in the past, I would be on a high Protein diet and eat something out the blue and a few minutes later I?d start spiting it out, like oh my goodness I ruined my diet on accident?lol? Is this a common fear or am I crazy?haha :thumbup1:

So I am thinking of having Dr. Rodriguez perform my surgery for the gastric sleeve plication ?super sleeve?. I was wondering if anyone can share their experience they had with him and his team. Also what hospital you went to and who you used for coordinator. I am really battling terms with my husband as he thinks I?m crazy but on the other hand knows that the last 15 years have been an ongoing battle with weight and endless on again off again diets that seem to work at first then wear off.
