  1. Yes, it was because of the use of the calories. I don't want to burn off the Protein my jogging immediately which is I have been doing. But I sort think if I do exercise whenever and however its a good thing.
  2. I spoke with my chiropractor and he said to get a large dose of whey protein within 1/2 hour of lifting weights. He also suggested doing jogging at a different time all so the protein will all go to muscle growth after the workout. Thanks guys!

Holy cow! What a big difference! Looking good!

    Lost 37lbs and STUCK!

I'd start tracking all your calories and fat and protein on a site like sparkpeople. You may find that you aren't getting enough protein. Also, click on my ticker and you'll see my weight loss pattern. It's very stairstep-I'll be the same weight for a week or two then drop 4-5 lbs in a couple days!

Yummy protein bar I can not only tolerate...

I have to be gluten free too. Thanks for the hint, I'll try those out. I'm loving Clif "Builder's Bar" esp mint. Pure Protein and Special K both contain gluten.

    Embarrasing question

So basically a belly bra! BTW the surgical births aren't responsible for that flap-they put the scar there to hide it cause its in a natural crease. I hear that all the time but I work with pregnant and postpartum women and, except for the scar, their (our) bellies look the same.

    LOOSE SKIN

I had a lower BMI and thus less skin but I've found my arms especially need the firm muscles I get from lifting weights to look decent.

    Boy Am I New

20 lbs since May 23rd? Be patient! That's great!

    Couch Potato to 5K

I'm on week 7! This is my first time doing the program. I really like the interval training at the beginning. Now that it's just "run for 25 minutes" I'm not as into it. I need to move on to some HIIT like in Body for Life so keep interested. Great program and not "too hard"

    Once Bitten, Twice Shy

I'm not trying to be a doubter but how do they sleeve you if you've already had a GB? Do they put the system back together and then so the sleeve? Just curious.
  12. Totally normal. I briefly considered walking out when I was in pre-op! I've made stupid and expensive decisions in life before and really really hoped this wasn't going to be one of them! So far, so good! It was no big deal to go through after the first 24 hours which kinda sucked. My mantra was "feel the fear and do it anyway"

    Out of Pocket Poof!

Ha ha! Your concerns sound normal and you know the sleeve is WAY BETTER than the lapband! I thought about doing this for over a year and tried to diet that whole year. 4 months after getting the sleeve.......well look at my ticker! You won't care about eating a whole pizza because you'll be pleasantly full after 1/2 slice and too busy feeling and looking great. Seriously I felt like CRAP when I was fat. Congrats on making your surgery plans!

Running up caloric deficit, is it safe?

All I can say is "Wow." I'm thinking because your food is providing a source of nutrients and immediate energy you're probably okay. If you don't feel weak and shaky I'd go with it! Wow.

Is your birth control the culprit?

I've had a mirena in for over a year. I use it for heavy periods and after the first few months of spotting it's been spectacular! I'm not anemic for the first time ever. I haven't noticed any weight gain or trouble losing. Just one other perspective. I've never taken birth control pills so I wouldnt know about that.
  16. Proton Pump Inhibitor AKA Prilosec or Nexium or Prevacid.

    Not Ready For Surgery

I didn't do that. But I loved sweet and rich foods too. With the sleeve I go from hungry to full SO FAST! I know that I have to get the proteins in so I cannot really eat anything else. Now that I'm close to goal I have bites of enjoyable food (except sugar makes me sick so fancy cheese is more my thing now) and then I'm done. After surgery is totally different than before. It's really amazing.

Low BMI and still having VSG

Dr. Mark Pleatman in Michigan. The total cost for Dr and Hospital was $11, 200. Because I was from out of town I had to stay in a hotel one night before and after. I'm so close to my goal its unreal!

    Coffee and alcohol

I still drink coffee without problems. I couldn't hold my liquor before and its worse now. I usually don't drink because of the calories but I have and I keep loosing.
  20. I went to Pleatman and was happy with him. I could self-pay and drive there! So easy! Watch his YouTube video of the surgery. He made it look so easy and simple.

    Vacation Eating :)

I'm on vacation too! I'm staying with a friend so I can bring home leftovers. Each meal becomes 4 meals! I love that in satisfied with just a taste now!
  24. I agree. The other day I worked all day and when I came home 6yo when on her scooter and I walked/jogged to keep up. 40lbs ago I would have been sleeping on the couch.
