Congrats on the baby! Eventually after I lose all the weight and atleast 18 months from now, we are going to try to have baby #2 also. My surgeon and OBGYN said it would be no problem.
Good Luck with everything!

I am on my second week post-op. I can only eat just a few spoonfuls of Soup (pureed of course) and that's all I want. It is a very weird feeling! I am just wondering for those of you that are "veterans" on here:
Can you eventually eat a sandwhich? Hamburger? You know reglar things that will be around you all the time? Not that I want any of that at this point. I'm just wondering for years down the road.
Also, I gained a pound on the first day of liquid Soup day??? :svengo: I only ate a few spoonfuls....whats that about? I got all of my Water in also.
Still hating Protein drinks...don't think that will change anytime soon though! lol
Thanks!!

I was sleeved July 8th!!!! So we are going through the same thing together! I told my husband this week....major surgery+ 13 days no real food + time of the month = me being alot more grouchy and you better be a whole lot nicer. I think he got the point! I'm hoping when I get to eat more meat Protein I will feel better because these drinks just aren't cutting it.

That's awesome! Inspiring for me : )

I am only 1 week out from being sleeved but I too had a c-section and this happened to me. I use biolage and it's great and my hair eventually grew back.

Congrats to you!!! You should do something special for yourself! I bet you are on top of the world right now : )

The only text I was required to do was blood work and an EKG. I'm thinking because I am fairly young and have no previous medical history of my own only (family medical history that is horrible)

Thank you Ellisa! I love how you pictured yourself as a "mouse" lolol

In 2 days I will be in the "mushy" food stage. To the person up there who had the chili from Wendy's....I had no idea we could have stuff like that! My dr office suggest cream Soups. I am gonna ask them what else I can throw in that blender to have. Variety would be nice : )
If anyone has suggestions of what all they blended during mushy stage I would appreciate it!
Thanks guys : )

I am fortunate that I only had 1 week pre-op. I am still on the 1 week after surgery liquid diet though. I will tell you the first two days were the roughest and I was super grouchy! 4th of July BBQ was much easier. But after a few days your stomach will shrink and it will quit growling for the most part. I just had to keep telling myself that I have to do this. If I can't do it now for surgery then I will not be able to restrict myself afterwards. My surgeon scared the crap out of me as to what would happen if you cheast the first 3 weeks post op so I definatley am being a good girl. 17lbs gone so far and 13 days since day 1 of liquid diet. 5 days since surgery. Good luck with everything and remeber the body can edure some amazing things. Just think of the outcome : )

Wow! That completly sucks how they reaccted. But just rememeber people are uncomfortable with subjects they do not know about and lets face it, some people are just down right jealous. So keep your head up and know that you did this for you and feel proud everytime you walk by the mirror or can buy a smaller size. No more tugging at the shirt trying to hide things...lol.

Hi,
I just had my surgery 4 days ago in Dallas, Tx. The first couple of days were a little rough but bearable. I am starting to feel a little more normal. I'm not hungry AT ALL and sometimes the smell of food makes me a little sick. Is that normal? Does anyone know how long until you can kind of drink normally and not all of the "sips".
The hardest part of this I think is not being able to pick up my 20 month old daughter. But I showed her the 'boo boo's" and now she likes to look at them and count them! haha it's kind of cute I guess.
What was I thinking ??!!

Wow, that's really powerful. It's amazing how old habits feel like such a part of your identity. Good luck with your journey!
