  1. This doesn't sound right to me. I am 5 weeks out, and just now starting to eat small bites of grilled chicken and very small bites of Hamburger. 3 or 4 bites, and I'm full. Can't believe your eating cake. The sugar normally causes the "Dumping Syndrome" in most sleeve patients. Wow...Guess everyone is different.
  2. I went to BSC of Dallas. Dr. James Davidson did my sleeve. He is wonderful, I had the very best of care at their brand new hospital. They only take 25 patients at a time, so you get plenty of attention. I was fortunate that my husbands family live there. We live in Florida, and I had to stay there two weeks before Dr. would let me fly home. My price for 3 nights in hospital, and the unexpected repair of a hernia cost us 12,500. I thought the price was great! Plus is is in USA.

    Post-Anesthesia

I think you will do just fine. It's normal to be nerveous going in, but trust me shortly after they get your IV going, they will give you something, and you wont remember a thing, the next thing you know they will be calling your name to wake you.

    Post-Anesthesia

I was given medication the morning of my surgery to prevent any nausea. Make sure you tell them that before they put you out. I told mine the same thing, and i had no problems at all. I am 5 weeks out of surgery, and i have had very little nausea. I had no drain either, don't think they do that anymore. I did have a foley cath because i had a hernia repair done also and they didn't want me up too soon. @ BSC of Dallas, (Beriactic Surgery Center) I had the very best of care you can imagine. Also it was in a brand new hospital, and they only treat 25 patients at a time. I Highly recommend them.

So glad you are doing better. I have to take all meds in liquid form, or crushed for at least two more weeks. I am 4 weeks out from my surgery and have lost 26 lbs. It is a life changing experience.
