  1. I like the Premier one's too. You might also try adding sugar free Torani Syrup to the shakes. This gives you some variety. Also if you can handle cold things now.. a quick zip in the blender with ice makes for a nice chocolate shake feel. Either way if the Protein Shakes are not your thing it sounds like your Nutritionist is concerned that you will get the alotted Protein each day. If you can find other ways to get your protein power to you. A lot of people get the unflavored protein and add it to everything else. ;)

  2. Welcome to the site... Everyone is really supportive and honest with their experiences. My husband and I are both scheduled for September 13th and will be starting the official liquid diet on August 30th. I understand how you feel I get stressed out and wonder if I am making the right choice... then I think about how I feel now and the things I want to be able to do when I am at goal... ;)

  3. anything is great! every thing you can do for yourself matters whether it is a 5 minute walk three times a day or some crazy workout that would make richard simmons winded. lol I find for myself that I prefer dance classes.. you have fun and it is exercise but you don't feel like you are working out. haha I use the Just Dance on the wii also so I can dance at home and no one can see. lol believe it or not I also took Belly Dancing at a Senior Community Center and had the time of my life!! It wasn't about who looked the best or moved the best it was all about shaking what you had and having fun!! : D

  4. I had this too... sucks!! I ended up seeing a podiatrist. he gave me cortizone shots in the heel (they hurt but they work) I also ordered a pair of orthodics through his office. Insurance doesn't cover them unless you are diabetic (luckily I am not) so the cost was about 300.00 but you can get them recovered for around 20 every couple years so it is worth it. I wear them all the time. It makes a huge difference. I also stretch my feet every night and I have a small ergonomic step stool under my desk that I can use to keep my feet at a better angle at work. :mad0:

p.s. cool tip if you rub a bar of soap along the bottom edge of your orthodics they will not squeek in your tennis shoes. :)

  5. If you have a Wii the game Just Dance is nice too... There are some lower impact ones that you can do. Just take it easy until you are cleared from the doctor. I love this game because it is soo much fun it doesn't feel like exercise.

  6. He came around and is my biggest supporter. He still worries that I'm going to get sick by not eating enough or whatever...when he's home he brings me Breakfast every single day to my office and also checks with me every single night to make sure I"m taking my Vitamins. LOL I swear he feels more like my daddy sometimes...and that's just kinda weird. *grin*

Ahh that just means he loves you dearly and wants to make sure you take care of yourself so you can be together for many many years to come. :) My husband does things like this too haha it used to annoy me until I started looking at it differently. :)

  7. Wishing you all the best on your journey to a healthy you!! I am going to be with you on the same road soon. Just received approval from insurance... waiting on date. I get scared too and think OMG what am I doing... then I think about not being able to do the things I want to do!! food has ruled my life for far too long! The battle will be hard but I will be damned if the piece of pie is going to have more say in how I feel than I am!! heheh Hang in there! I will be cheering you on too!!!

  8. Finally approved!! My husband and I are both approved!! Now for the wait for a surgery date but we are getting closer. Another hurdle is in my review mirror... Sooo excited. I did not realize until this moment how ready I am to start this journey. Thank you to everyone here for your support and sharing your stories. :crying:
