We are both doing great! We had the same procedure on the same day. He was first, and honestly his attitude of joking with the doctor and going into surgery happy and not worried really helped me calm down. I had never had surgery before this operation and I was worried. The surgery was seemless and we were in our rooms the same night. The doctor put us on opposite sides of the hospital.

One month down, My husband and I have been very lucky, and have not had any complications. Our surgeon did a wonderful job and took very good care of both of us. Now on to the next part of the journey. We are feeling better now and starting to think about joining some type of gym. This is easier said than done with a full time job, working on my doctorate, and rehearsals starting.

Doing Great!! I was able to take three weeks off of work and thank goodness! I am moving right along with mushies now per our handbook haha. Everything is going really well. The first week was a little rough but honestly, each day gets better. I just have to remind myself that portion size does not equal what I used to think it did. We have a small food scale and it has been a life saver. I did not realize that approximately half of a scrambled egg was 1oz. I used to eat three and not bat an eyelash. I am excited about the results... I can see a marked difference in my face especially. Thanks for checking on me.

Hiya! Just popping in to say hi and see how you are doing?

today is a littel rougher... no more morphine. lol. I have a bit of a headache but I am feeling pretty good. The nursing staff has been really nice to me.. just trying to take it easy but still get some walking in. It is counter-intuitive when you have a pain in your side to breathe into it but it makes a difference and I feel better. : ) one day at a time.

doing great! feeling better every hour.. : ) had leak test and all is well. My husband is doing great too. glad we have eachother.. makes it alittle easier knowing he understands exactly what I am going through haha. thanks for asking aftere me. : )
