  1. thanks! i'm sure i'm fine too.... i just sometime get worried....eating with the sleeve is so different from eating with the band. since i had so many issues with my band, i tend to worry about those same issues with the sleeve, when in fact, i've had ZERO issues!
  2. this is when i find myself thinking it's streched. but when i'm eating my steak, chicken, etc, i am still surprised at how fast i feel full. i still love my sleeve. i just have mini freak-out episodes from time to time - LOL
  3. i'm sure i'm over thinking it.... i've NEVER vomited from eating to much and i NEVER eat until i'm "stuffed".
  4. i'm 7 months out now and i feel like my sleeve has stretched! i'm not eating the amounts i did before surgery, but i'm eating more than i did at 2,3, even 4 months out. i can eat pretty much an entire chicken breast and a few bites of veggies. i have eaten some sliders and notice that i can eat those and never feel restriction - so i stay away from them for the most part. i still have weight to lose so i'm hoping that my sleeve didn't stretch!
  5. anyone done the 5 day pouch test even though we dont have a "pouch"? i'm just curious if it works well for us sleevers... i feel off track over the holidays, so i'm wanting to get back on track and start eating right again.
  6. try the paraguard IUD. its non-hormonal and is good for 10 years. i did spot with it for about a week or so, then never spotted again.
  7. if you're going to get an IUD, i recommend the Paraguard. i have it and LOVE it. it's non hormonal and is good for 10 years. i also like it because antibotics will not weaken it like they do hormonal birth controls.
  8. i'm confused as well. i think you need to deal with the anger you have with your family... i remember reading that you tried to cancel the surgery a week before... if you knew you didn't want it then, why did you go to the hospital? i'm sorry you are going though this - i really am. i know you were excited to have the band out and the sleeve done from the several emails you sent me about getting my surgeon's info. again, i hope you find peace with everything. i wish you the best and hope one day you can let go of the anger and live a happy life.
  9. i drink out of a straw daily...and i'm almost 3 months out. i started drinking with a straw about 3 days post op. i found that it's the only way i can get my fluids in.
  10. i have the paraguard IUD and love it. it's non-hormonal and it's good for 10 years.
  11. my name was used....both by my referral and the office manager.
  12. i referred someone to my surgeon about getting a revision from the band to the sleeve. we both have the same insurance as our husbands work together. my sleeve was approved. while this person was at my surgeon's office, the office manager discussed my insurance approval / insurance coding with her. my surgery was not discussed - just insurance information about me getting approved. is this illegal? i am not 100% sure about what the HIPPA law covers.
  13. i'm 2 months out and i have NOT lost any hair so far. i had the lapband done in 2008 and my hair started falling out within 2 weeks of surgery. i'm hoping that it doesn't start coming out now, but if it does, i know it will grow back.
  14. i had an area on my stomach that was like that. i didn't hurt like it was infected - it would just burn. i called my doctor and he told me it was nerves trying to repair themself. i'm 2 mos out and that feeling has been gone for about a month or so....
  15. i am the same way. nothing sounds good to me. i pretty much live off the same 4-5 things. it gets boring and i am tired of it. but when i try to think of something else to eat, i just dont feel like eating any of it.
  16. i am 2 months out and i can eat salad with no problem. i have tried shredded lettuce (like on tacos), so i dont know if that would be any different.
  17. my levels are really high too..... this is the first time i've used them and i think they are going to be motivation for me!
  18. so should i just cut it up and whatever fits in a 1/2 measuring cup is 4 ozs?
  19. i have a scale that i use to measure my Protein, but i'm starting to wonder how accurate it is. i made chicken breats for dinner and i weighed one chicken breast. accoring to the scale it was 2 ozs. but i can't eat an entire chicken breats...so i'm thinking my scale is not correct. does anyone have an easy way to measure protein like chicken, beef, etc.... should i buy another scale? the one i have i got from walmart - not sure of the brand.
  20. i know all doctors have different plans. but i'm just curious: what is the daily limit on your carbs for your plan? do you lose weight fast or does is come off very slow?
  21. while i was out, i stopped and picked some up from CVS - my question is when is the best time of day to use them? should i just test once a day?
  22. does anyone use them? i've thought about getting them and using them to make sure i'm in ketosis during my stall(s).... but not sure where to get them or the price of them.
  23. there have been a few times after eating that i feel like i need to burp. when i try, i can feel a llittle bit of food come up in the back of my throat. this usually happens 5-10 mins after i'm done eating i do not vomit - in fact, i have never vomited. but i'm curious - is this a sign that i ate to much? i do not feel full and i'm not in any pain or discomfort. has anyone had this happen to them?
