I'm on day 3 of liquids, ugh. I am hungry but the worst part is mental. If I could stop thinking about it for a minute, maybe it wouldn't be so bad.

Maddie replied to chellebelle0880's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I start liquids in the morning! I'm a little anxious about it, but gonna do my best. Good luck. -
That is exactly what I wanted to hear as I have surgery in 1 week. Sounds like a dream come true. Gratz on your success.

I sort of have to agree. You have waited this long. Besides, even if EVERYTHING goes by the textbook, don't you want to enjoy your wedding dinner and cake? I would not want to be eating mushies at my wedding or on my honeymoon. That's just me. Do what makes you happy. Follow your inner voice!

Surgery right around the corner....
Maddie replied to Mommyof4's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I think you just copy the BBBC code and paste that in. I had my last apt yesterday with the nutritionist and all I start liquids tomorrow, then surgery on June 4th. I can hardly wait. -

Thanks everyone. I'll keep trying and I will use Kleenex, that really may help.

1st few steps completed.
Maddie replied to bearwitme's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good for you! I totally understand what you mean about doing it for YOU. I think too many woman take on the roll of caretaker and forget that they themselves need to be taken care of too. Not to mention that if you don't, you eventually won't be able to care for others because your body won't let you. Let us know how the progress goes and best of luck. -

I went for my 2nd sleep study and to get fitted for the CPAP. It's not as bad as I thought it would be, but it's no picnic either. When I first heard I would have to get it, I thought I would not really use it. But, the tech explained to me how it works, and how much better folks feel after using it. I figure it's worth a shot, even if it takes some getting used to. The insurance paid all but $300 of it. So, I should at least try to get my $300 worth out of it before tossing it aside. LOL I know after I have a significant weight loss I probably won't need it anymore, but that's a ways off so, here goes. On the other hand we'll see how a feel about it in a few nights.

About how much loss equals a pant size?
Maddie replied to sam30204's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm hoping for a size 10 when all is said and done. I think that is realistic, however it's been so long since I wore that size. I wonder how much age, etc will play a part, because I know my body is different. Oh well, have to wait and see. But, yes just imagining it is very exciting. -
Sorry you are having trouble sleeping well. I am a side sleeper too. Best of luck for a speedy recovery.
