Lisa - My nephew was just telling me today that he did his son's room like a hunting place. He hung some deer antlers on the wall for him to hang stuff on, put up some pictures like you would see out hunting etc. He said his son absolutely loved it. Betty

Try to keep yourself busy with something. Call a friend, you will need one right now. I know you are hurting, and my thoughts are with you. Hugs, Betty

Honey, I have been there too. I honestly believe that when the trust is gone, so is the relationship. I had a very abusive husband, and I stayed with him because I thought the boys needed a dad around. Things only got worse, and then he started on the boys too, and that day I walked out. It was hard, and things got harder, but in the end, it was all worth it to me. The boys acutally ask me why I stayed? When I told them because of them they said it was the worse thing I could have done. I know that now, but it is hard to see when you are involved. I am not saying for one minute that you need to divorce him, nor am I saying you need to stay. Please think things through and decide what is best for you and for your children. Do you have some partents that can help you? Do you have any plans? Will he let you live in the house with the children? If you decide to go ahead with this, then please go see a lawyer, at least start arranging to receive some child support. Give yourself some alone time to really think things through. And, one more thing you need to realize. Someone gave me this advice when I went through mine: when you get a divorce, it is the same as a death, you will do the morning and everything. You are actually ending a part of your life, and it is about the same as a death. I think that advice really helped me learn to put the whole thing behind me and look to the future. I now have a great husband, and I am very happy. Good Luck to you! Please keep us posted and if you need to talk just let us know. Hugs! Betty

You'll enjoy the classes, and you will learn a lot from them too. I had a lot of fun in the classes, and met a lot of people. A lot of them were really young, I felt like their mother! It was weird though, they all hung around me and talked and we had a great time. Make sure they give you a certificate so that you can take it to the Harley store and they will give you a certificate to spend with them for $50.00. You will be able to buy yourself something you really want! Betty

Very Cute! Betty

Lisa - I got about half way through his book and quit. I wasn't too impressed. He had a few good things, but most of it was the same old stuff. Betty

Everyone already said everything I would have, so I'm going to say my thoughts and prayers are with you and hopefully you will have a speedy recovery. Betty

Penni - My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please keep us posted and let us know if we can do anything at all. Betty

Welcome! This is a great place to come! Betty
-
Penni - I know you wouldn't, I just had to ask again though. I took that chewable one and it had a bad taste for a long time. I even burped it all night. UGH! Don't try them even if you are out of the liquid! Marie - Thanks, I might try those. Betty
-
Lisa - When does your classes start? Just wondering. Betty

Yeah, I know what you mean, but a lot of people have no idea how much a Harley costs, they just see something that makes them want to talk about. I think bike riders just find other riders friendly and can talk because they have something in common with you. Although, Harley riders do get much more attention than some of the other bikers. Like the old saying goes, if a man has a Harley, he can get any girl he wants no matter what he looks like! I think that saying is very true to a certain extent. People are just facinated with a motorcycle. I do the same thing with some cars that are so cool. You walk up and talk to them about it or make some comment. Yup, quit thinking about it and just enjoy it. All aspects of life will be different for you when you lose weight. People will notice you, jobs will be easier to get, clerks will wait on you faster. Maybe when we lose weight we start feeling better, doing more, giving off a better attitude. Maybe we smile more, say hello more. People look down on heavy people, it is just a fact of life. It's wrong but it happens to all of us everyday. but you still have those few people that can't look you in the eye because they are too busy looking down on you. Go riding, enjoy the attention, smile and have a good time. That is what riding a Harley is for. It is meant to make you forget all the bad, all the tention, and all the ugly mean people! Betty

Lisa - You will always have that! I have had people hanging out their windows, coming over when we stop for gas or stop in to eat. Harley's are the top bike, but all bikers are friendly. You will never see a stranger when you are on a Harley. When you stop at a light, people will talk to you or give you a sign. It is a whole new world when you ride a Harley. I have a fun time, cause everyone tells my husband "I like your bike, but I really love your wife's". A lot of ladies take road trips by themselves, they always know that if they have a problem, a Harley rider will come by and help. We always pull over and help everyone, including cars if they are having problems. Of course you will always run into the people that only know Bikers are bad, and will hide their children from you~ lol. Biker's use to have a really bad reputation, but now most of the people that ride Harley's are Doctors, Lawyers, and hard working people, so things have really changed in the last few years. When we go in a place to eat, if we have on a Harley shirt, coat, or a hat, everyone wants to talk to you. We have swapped phone numbers to several people while in a public place. One time while we were riding and came to a light a little old lady rolled down her window and said "I like your bike, but I would be scared to ride one." She was a cutie. Betty

Boy, I wish I could see that show. Since I work, I can't and my Tivo isn't working right now! If you watch it, would you let me know how it goes? Thanks, Betty

Nancy - I have been doing the South Beach Diet, and I honestly can say after the two week of detoxing you won't crave any of the junk stuff. I lost 11 pounds the first two weeks, but more than anything else I felt so much better getting all the junk food out of my system. After the first two weeks, the weight hardley came off, but with eating that way, I actually felt so good that I kept up with the eating plan. I also lost quite a few inches. I just have a problem with any diet that I go on, I can lose up to 20 pounds and then it doesn't matter how long I stick to it I stay the same. But if you want to get a hand on eliminating the junck food, it is a great way to go. Betty
