Yes! I am so excited. Now if I could judy stop second guessing my decision. Have you done this? I keep on thinking if I just try once more before surgery. LOL Like it has ever worked before. I am sure that everything is going to be fine and we are going to love our new life.

I am looking forward to meeting you both! Nice to live so close.

Hey Kathy,
I will be there for test on the afternoon of the 25'th. Will you still be there that afternoon?

AHHA, splenda! Thanks for posting this, been happening to me too. Splenda is new to me so that must be the culprit! I am switching back to the "blue"sweetner.

I am a day behind you,I think I might have already posted that though..Oh well, I like saying it. It feels like a dream at times.Scared one minute, excited the next!

:smile1:My friend who was going to meet me for surgery was worried about this also. She went and checked with the post office and said the same thing the coordinator did. I look forward to seeing you in Mexico!

:smile1:I know, I have calmed down allot. I now am thinking about hairloss! LOL I have already lost so much hair due to thyroid meds. but the worst that can happen is I go bald for awhile and they make wigs for that. Did you worry about blood clots on a long flight so soon after surgery? Thanks so much for the advice, I realy do appreciate it!

That is great, I love it the last minute change. I went there last summer and had the best time. Thanks for sharing your experiance. I am starting to feel allot better. I think with a layover my flights are around 9 hours. I just need to keep repeating the phrase"relax".

I have just spent the last few hours reading this thread. What an awesome idea and group of people! I can't wait to join when I start on my downside.

Thanks for the tip on the Jamba Juice! I wanted to stay the extra day but that just did not work out. I found out my friend can't make it so I am going it alone. Will they let you take the drink through security? I am afraid to drink anything on the plane, would not be pleasant to have gas or anything like that on the way home. I seem to be obsessed with the plane. LOL

Thanks so much for all of the information. I did book a first class flight, kind of pricey but I figure I am worth it.

I have a friend who is going to try and come, but nothing set. My family is staying behind. My oldest daughter is trying to talk me out of it so I don't want her to be there, I am nervous enough. This is so exciting to find someone else who is going to be there!

I was thinking the same thing with first class, I was just looking at prices. I think that I will go that route. Thanks for the advice!

:thumbup:That is great! I was hoping that I would meet someone on here who was going to be there the same time. My surgery is for the afternoon so maybe I can stop in and see you before, to get a heads up. Also, how did you get the weight tracker on your page? I don't know what pm is, sorry. I am picking up a phone later today to use in Mexico and I will get it to you.

My surgery is scheduled for next Friday, the 26'th!

Thanks so much. Nina just emailed and said there is an opening on the 26'th of this month. I think I am going to take it. I have researched relentlessly for 2 months now so I think that I am ready. It was the plane that was holding me up. Sometimes it is just the silliest little thing. I appreciate the responce that I have had, what a nice group of people! I asked this question a week ago on another board and the answers were kind of mean and no real info.

Thanks, and I am thinking of the same DR. Maybe I will stay an extra day.
-
Thanks so much for the answer! I will probaly just have a small carryon and will be traveling alone. Good to hear you did ok, that makes me feel so much better. It's funny, but that is my only real concern.

I am thinking of going to Mexico to have the sleeve surgery done. I have filled out the paperwork and just waiting to hear back from the Dr.s office. I have been reading this board all day but can't find an answer. How is the plane trip home after surgery? I will be flying for around 9 hours and wonder about the pain and discomfort on the ride home. It is not like you can just go and lie down. I would greatly appreciate any answers on this. I am hoping to have the surgery at the end of the month.
