    checking in

Amazing. Keep up the good work. My surgery is September 1, so I'm taking everything in and expecting great things. Did you have slimes and vomitting everyday or just every now and then?

    September sleevers wanted!

Hi all. I'm happy to report my surgery date is September 1!!! I'm excited and nervous. I wish you all the very best of luck and I can't wait until we are all on the losers bench sharing this journey together. ..What's to come is better than what's been.
  3. I am so grateful for these forums. You all are truly awesome. Thank you for your encouraging words and sharing your stories. Each of you are a true inspiration.
  4. Thank you so much for sharing. This is very encouraging. I plan to have the surgery the end of August, or first week of September and have been thinking about my "last supper". So good to know that it's not the end but the beginning of a new, healthier life!

VSG CPT CODE - Federal BCBS

Hi babygirlinokc. I'm one of the unlucky ones who has BCBS insurance coverage but the company I work for has a WLS exclusion clause in the policy. :cursing:. However, I'm responding to your post because based on your location and the amount that you quoted for surgery, I can pretty much bet that you went to the same hospital that I am going to in Edmond. If I am correct, would you mind sharing your experience with the doctor and the facility. I've already had all of my pre-op blood work and all of my consultations. I have to lose some weight before the surgery, so I am currently on an "aggressive" pre op diet right now. (started one week ago and have lost 5 lbs). So far, I am very pleased with the facility, the doctor, and the staff. I have a 2 1/2 hour drive to get there, but since I am self pay, it's about $6,400.00 cheaper, so for me, it's worth it. Thank you in advance for the information. Feel free to email me personally rather than posting here if you prefer. Thanks again!

    SurgeryLoans.com

Hi. I am a self pay as well and I contacted surgeryloans about one month ago. They informed me (with my 700 credit score) that the rates were high because patients do not repay their loans after a period of time. Because they do not require collateral, it is more difficult to get approved, and when you do the interest rate is rather high. I'm in the same boat and still searching for the best rate. I don't know how much this information will help you, but I wanted to share my experience with you. Best of luck and please keep me posted.

    "C" you later

This site and the people here are truly amazing! I am in the very early stages of starting the process and one of the things i've been wondering about was "the girls". I too am in the "triple digits" and was hoping that I would lose some of the weight in them as well. Thank you for this post and always remember if you have a question, chances are there are 10 others with the very same question. Thanks to all of you who have posted your successes, complications, and concerns on this site. For someone such as myself who is a "cash" pay patient, this information is extremely helpful. Best of luck to you all.
