  1. Well I'm excited and anxious all at the same time. Been in a low mood all week. I guess it's just nerves. As scared as I am, I would be devastated if it was taken away from me lol. Are you going to do a pre op diet? I suppose you'll find all that out after your meetings though. Lots of luck Xx
  2. Hello Minilyn Welcome and good luck on your journey. Do you have any idea how long you'll have yo wait for your surgery? Mine is next week, 29th January... Xx
  3. I am ore-op but I take Biotene just in case. I will continue to take them after the op for at least a year. Xx
  4. What did your surgeon and team tell you? You should follow their advice...that's usually no alcohol? Just my opinion, but I don't think you should be considering alcohol only 7 weeks out. Take care x
  5. Like I said to Jlmckee my list is long because of a hotel stay for 2 extra nights....lol But PJ's seem like a good idea when you start walking around. All the best. Xx
  6. You too. Lol...the list is long and I forgot to add some things, but we are going out of town so we will be staying in hotel for two nights after two nights in the hospital. Xx

  9. mine is 26 March I am having open surgery bit scared. Taking 6 weeks off. I am 5ft 4 and weigh 98 kg. I hope to get to at least 60. I am insulin resistant and liver and kidneys failing as I am producing 10 times more insulin than I should. I have had several surgeries and, sleeve and now bypass so have to have open due to scar tissue. Best of luck with yours and keep updating as I will only just over 8 wks to go to a new beginning Good luck fleabag. I'm open too..... X
  10. Speedy recovery and hope you get to go home soon. Xx
  11. I think support groups are a fantastic way to help keep you on track and also to keep you motivated. Xx
  12. I'm glad you understood what I meant...lol...I just noticed it was supposed to say fantastic weight loss. Yes it's hard breaking those habits...but the tool you have now is going to help you break them. Xx
  13. Well done on your fantastic we it loss. Xx
  14. My surgery is one day after you Meintraining...mine is on Wednesday the 29th. I had a mini panic attack today, but my husband gave me a big hug and reminded me that I'm going to be in good hands and it passed quickly. No doubt I'll feel like that on Wednesday Morning...I'm in a 6am. Well all the best to you Meintraining and anyone else who are having their surgeries soon too. Xxx
  15. That's great...well done...all the best. Xx
  16. I think they are saying that some are far better than others. I think they imply that it's far more cost effective to take one-a-day, rather than 8 per day in some cases. It guess it's swings and roundabouts where these supplements are concerned. But to be honest this study only covered a few brands that specifically target the WLS patient. Of course drug companies are never going to miss a trick. Celebrate seemed to fair better in this study. Anyway, it was just something I came across and thought it might help someone to make up their minds if they, like me, don't know which brand to choose. Xx
  17. Yes it was painful and I had those same symptoms you describe. I was lucky, the cramps and spotting only lasted a month. X
  18. It's understandable that the insurance company would insist that obgyns do it, due to the coil being inserted by people who didn't know what they were doing and caused a lot of pain and injury to many. I think the Mirena is good...it certainly helped me. X
  19. Dr. Robert Ludemann Clackamas OR 97015 0 Patients This is only one listed on here....sorry. Xx
  20. The only problem I could see with the Mirena Coil is not with the coil itself, but with the the person inserting it. Not enough training. Xx
  21. I have the Mirena along with hormone Patches. Mine was given to balance out hormones when I developed peri-menopausal symptoms. This is my second Mirena coil and I have never had a problem with it at all. I think I can safely say that any weight gain I had was not due to the Mirena. Good luck X
  22. I looked him up here for you and nothing comes up. But then, there are other criteria to enter. Sorry I can't help. Perhaps when you get on to another computer you'll be able to put in more info. When is your surgery? Xx
  23. It's along the top line....just read starting with home, then it's the second from the last. "Surgeons". What's his/her name?
  24. Are you taking all your Vitamins supplements? Are you managing to eat well? Did they check your Iron? You are still only 19 days out and probably still recovering from what was a major operation. It's good they could not find anything sinister. I hope you start to better soon. Xx
  25. I was going to say that even thirst can mimic or feel like hunger but Lilboo already said. She makes some very good points. Xx
