  1. I read a lot on hear about how people at any stage of the their WLS, pre op, post op, new starters, veterans, that the food can get boring. So I thought it might be nice to share some WLS appropriate recipes on here. Let's get started. Xx
  2. What is a pose procedure? X
  3. I had an operation before in the UK so just wanted to compare and prepare. I was given the blood thinning injections every day and was given 2 weeks supply to take home with me along with various pain meds. The boots I had to wear whilst in hospital which was 3 nights...but in an effort together them off to go to the toilet I ripped one of them. They were great...I loved them. I bought paper panties but were given these mesh type ones to wear...not nice and very awkward to put on. I was only allowed sips of Water on the first day but on the second day I was given a bullion style broth. They gave me a cup of tea which I though was odd but although I couldn't finish it, it was nice.
  4. During your stay in hospital, what would you say was standard with regards to your treatment? Is it standard to get the blood thinning injections during your stay (and some given for your return home)? Is it standard to get the blood clot prevention boots after the operation? (They are like huge blood pressure cuffs that squeeze your legs). What were you offered by way of food and drinks? Was it bullion type broth, just Water etc? Are you given any meds to go home with, and if so what? Were you given information packs for your future eating, drinking regime? Were you allowed to wear your panties during the operation? Maybe paper ones? Does your nail varnish have to come off? Finger, toes or both? Would be great if you could share your experiences. Thank you X
  5. Hi Just wondered what you "have to take to hospital with you? I'm assuming it's not going to be much apart from nightmare, dressing gown, slippers, personal hygiene stuff like soaps and toothbrush. What were you told to bring? What was the best thing you took? Xx
  6. Anyone get liquid multivitamins ?
  7. Definitely Amazon. I buy Syntrax nectar. Xx
  8. Good luck for Monday...woo hoo. I use Syntrax nectar and get them from Amazon. If I'm not using them as a shake, I make them very thick and eat them like a moose. X
  9. But don't forget to take some multivitamins too
  10. If it's a liquid diet, the definitely the protein shakes or powders...I have Syntrax Nectar which I bought from Amazon.
  11. I also have hypothyroidism. When I had my sleeve my dosage of levo had to be reduced a little. I'm taking armor now and find it better. But like someone else said...try never to miss a dose. Xx
  12. You look lovely...well done x
  13. What is your pre-op diet? Is it a liquid diet? X
  14. I would like to know this also. I was worried to death about this but did get my mind put at rest about it. I believe it might be a little longer for recuperation....a little extra care with the incision...and if you work a bit more time off is required. All the best Xx
  15. All the luck in the world to you x
  16. This makes a lot of sense. Like any dieter wls or not, we all lose loads during the first weeks and then it slows up. X
  17. Thank you for your response...it was really helpful. It's really helpful to know that it's not necessarily going to be a "yes or no" answer to my question....I'm glad that there are options. Xx
  18. Thank you for you input....I'm well aware of the fact that I'm not trying to change a haircut.
