Hi KarenIN, I just had surgery on the 24th of March. It is nice to see another person from NWI. Dr. Stanish is awesome as well as his staff. I have not made it to a meeting yet but I am going to go in April. Keep us informed! Good Luck!

I was banded this morning at 8am. I was at home by 3pm. Not really in pain just having problems with gas pressure. I am very tired and I will take my pain med to help me sleep a little better I hope. I hope everyone is doing well.

Happy Easter! Today I will be making dinner for my family. I figure we will have about 30 people coming. I dicided to have Easter at my house so that today would go by fast and keep my mind off of food. I hope that people stay late so I can just clean up and go to bed. I have to leave my house around 4:40 to be at the hospital around 5:15 am.

Can you wear deoderant when you go in for surgery? They told me to shower the night before and not to have lotion etc. But is deoderant included in that??:confused2:

I have to be there Monday at 5:15 am. I'm set for 9:30 surgery. I did pretty well on my full liquids but this clear crap is killing me. I am so looking forward to having my shakes again next Wednesday! I will be thinking of all of you tomorrow morning!

I have been doing ok but I did not know I was a mindless eater. I was putting things in my mouth and before I knew I was having to spit it out. I have only 2 more days of full liquids and then 2 days of clear. Plus I'm cooking Easter Dinner!! I will be sipping broth while everyone else is eating! This will be a First!

I am also scheduled for the 24th. How are you doing on liquids? Well it is day 5 and I think I only had 1 mental day!!

I started my liquids today, I had cream of wheat for breakfast then an hour later I had my protein shake. I think lunch will be another shake, then for dinner I will be having some sort of blended soup. I'm being banded on the 24th.

Hi--I to hope to be banded beginning of Feb. The port is under the skin, my docter said about 3-4 days off work. I to have a sit down job. Your band is forever unless you want it taken out. Stay in touch about your process.

Hello to all, I have not been on in awhile because I got scared and said no to the band! I tried the Supervised diet with the dr. Well it's not going so well after all. I'm back on the band wagon and I'm going with Water Tower Surgical in Chicago. CTALLEN keep us informed! Renee

Hi Sandi, It is nice to see someone local on this site. I'm in the process of getting the courage to make my appt to get my medical necessity paper. My surgeon is from WaterTower in Chicago. I did not know that we had any local. I live in Portage. This would be great to have someone to go thru this process together! Renee
