  3. hi, i can only talk about my experience with Dr. Aceves and his staff. I can tell you that it has all been worth it and that they are very professional and reliable. I never had any complaints. Nina, his patient coordinator helped me with all the questions i had and explained step by step the whole procedure. So if you ask me again, I definitely recommend him!!! goodluck and I wish you the best.

  7. i started walking after 3 weeks and one month later i started going to the gym....slowly i 've been lifting more weight and more cardio....take it slowly and gradually increase strength.:thumbup1:

  14. oh nooo, it is something we all go through, i started lifting weights to shape my triceps and biceps and i have seen some improvement, you should definitely start doing it too.

  20. hi new sleever, i definitely recommend Dr. Aceves, you are right, he is your best choice.....i'd say if he reccommends having the bypass, then go ahead, he has lots of experience and you can rely on him. His staff is very professional and all your effort will be worth it. Have you already contacted Nina? she's the patient coordinator and she'll gladly give you all the information you need. :drool5:

  22. good to hear you're walking and soon you will get the habit of doing exercise and relieving stress with exercise rather than with food. another way to relieve stress is trying some yoga and learn new techniques for breathing.
  23. yes it is pretty normal, but continue doing your exercises, and eating the way you are, don't lose hope, you'll start seeing results when you least expect it. be patient.
  24. relax, everything will be fine.....take things one step at a time and you'll see that we patience evertything will start falling into place. take a deep breath.
  25. i threw up a few times, but i never forced myself to do it.....i overate and that made me want to throw up.....becareful you could hurt yourself, plus why do you have the need to force yourself to throw up?:scared0:
