I not quite sure how this blog thing works so here I go. I was banded on 12/29/08 in northern ky. Everything went o.k.:smile: Now it is 11 days on a liquid diet, I am hating this part as i guess most do.:cool2: Monday I have an appt wirh the Dr. I hoping then I can start on more pureed foods. I have been very faithful to this process. I am afraid to start pureed foods because i might eat too much.:frown:Today i did a little exercise (walking dvd) for about 20 min and worked on installing new camera software for new cameras. a big part of this initial period is keeping busy mentally cuz I'm not so much into the physical yet. Today my energy is low and I think I am having heart palpatations(anxiety).

Ladyracer, I too am having a lot of gas after eating. I am going to the dr. today and I'm going to ask about it. Mine seems the worst after the protien shakes. To deal with it so far besides what the dr. perscribed I am taking gas x strips 1 per meal it helps a little. Hang in there it's bound to get better!

Hello everyone! I was banded on 12/29. Everything went o.k. came home next day around 11a m. Until today I really felt awful, sore, tired, emotional and after the third day STARVING!! But last nite I seemed to have a turn for the better I was finaly able to eat some yogurt and I had a popcicle.(besides the Protien shakes} everything up till then hurt my stomach & took hours to get down. Going to check-up Monday. I think it's all going to be O.K. :tt2:

Hello, I am kinda new to posting, so here it goes. I will be getting my band on 12/29/08. I am so excited and anxious. I have been in the process for amost 2 yrs. Mostly waiting for ins. approval. I have lost about 60 pounds on my own but still have a long way to go. I don't have a problem losing, mine is keeping it off. So I hope this band will help me stop this cycle.Looking soooo forward to a healthier lifestyle I had my 50th b'day in sept. I have 3 adult daughters and I think I have been a good role model for them except for my weight issues. I wish you success in your journey and hope my surg goes as easy as your did.

hello everyone It's been awhile since I posted. I was approved about 2 weeks ago and am waiting for my surgery date. I had to go through alot of stuff like tests and dieting. I think it's just part of the process. I am nervous too about what it all will be like but I am soooo ready for a change of life style. I just turned 50 and am looking forward to a heathly thinner future. Just hang in there it will be o.k.

Hi I'm new to this, but have been watching and waiting since last year,I have had all my tests and everything is good but then Insurance changed. New one said... do a program like "weight watchers" for 6 months so thats where I am, in month 5. hoping that sometime in late sept. I will get approved. Anyone out there like me?
