  1. Hi there, my name is Shelly and I was sleeved May 24th, 2010. I haven't been on the board in forever. Since surgery I have lost 55 pounds. I started out at 270 and I have been hovering at 215 for a few weeks now. I guess I'm just looking for the sign from others that I will get below 200 pounds. I do try my best to eat right and healthy, but I will admit I dont always make the best choices. I haven't been for a post op visit since June because I really cannot stand the surgery coordinator and she is the only one who does it. I know I need to suck it up and go see her. I feel better about myself and I love fitting into a size 16 jeans down from a 22/24, but I really want to see a single digit size. I am definitely not the best at working out especially since I am going to school full time, 2 kiddos and a husband getting ready to deploy. I try to talk to my husband about it, but those conversations can only go so far because he has never had a weight problem.

I would love to hear some meal ideas for a person 7 months out still trying to lose 50 more pounds.

    Thank you

    Shelly

  2. Hello all,

Well my body has finally realized that something is different now. There were a few weeks where it seemed like I was going to lose so slowly. My body has finally accepted that something is different with how I eat and I am dropping weight more quickly. I do my official weigh-ins on mondays but I'm not gonna lie, I weigh myself throughout the week as well. Maybe one day I will no longer be a slave to the scale. We'll see. I put on a tshirt yesterday that is usually a little snug and when I looked in the mirror yesterday I was like hey, its not sticking to my tummy, its actually a little loose. I am so excited and happy. My weight was becoming an issue in my marriage because my husband new how unhappy I was weighing so much and now he senses that i'm happy so its a lot less stress. Thank you everyone for all of your continued support.

  3. Hi all, I am a constant worrier and last week was hard because the scale hadn't budged. Well this morning, it finally did!! I am down 13 pounds in 4 weeks. I finally feel like I have my portions under control and am learning what my sleeve does for me. I went swimming with my girls and husband this past weekend which felt wonderful and I have been getting in my walks. I feel like my pity party is over and I can get moving on losing more and weight. Thank you everyone for all of your support. I'm a new poster but everyone has been very supportive and I appreciate that.

  4. Hi all, its been 16 days since surgery and I have lost 10 pounds. I'm trying really hard to not let the scale rule my life, but i'm working on self esteem issues and I still have a love-hate relationship with the scale. I guess I'm looking for reassurance from other sleevers that 10 pounds is good. I only had a 2 day pre-op liquid diet so I didnt have any weightloss right before surg. I have been on mushies for a week now and i'm doing good with Protein and Water. I'm working on the exercise part, I have just been so tired lately. Thanks for any input.

  5. I was sleeved on 5/24 and I'm going a little nutty trying to figure out if i'm doing it right. I constantly wonder if I'm eating too much or not enough. I'm pretty good about getting in all of my liquid and Protein is pretty good. I drink one Protein shake with 1% milk which gives me 29g of Protein. I also eat some greek yogurt because I was feeling hungry. I'm so terrified that i'm not going to lose any weight and I think i'm driving my husband crazy with all of my worrying.
