I just saw you have a yorkie. I have 2 boys who I totally adore! They are such babies. My oldest is named Misha who just turned 6 and the "baby" is Kobe who just turned 4. I will have to update my profile with info and pics soon.

Good Morning ML,

I'm doing great! The first 30 hours after surgery were a little rough. I thought I was going to lose it during the leak test. I was pretty "green" but held it together. I also could not get comfortable in the hospital. I really started feeling better when I went on oral meds. I'm on full liquids for two weeks, then mushies. I have plenty of cottage cheese, yogurt for my protien. I've made up cream of wheat and have applesauce for my carbs.

After my shower, I put on jeans and a long sleeve tee. I can button the jeans and they are comfortable, and the tee feels loose. One of my daughters friends came in and said "OMG, you look skinny!" Boy did that make my day!

Everytime I look in my closet, I keep telling all my clothes that their days are numbered! Can't wait to be able to buy "cute" normal sizes.

Thanks so much for you caring thoughts. Hope all is going well with your pre-op diet. This is such an exciting time for us!

Thanks so much Mountain_Lover. I appreciate all your support through my stressful process. I have to be somewhat careful with my insurance company, since I am an employee of the company.

Hopefully I can get an update on when my surgeon will do his peer to peer appeal on my behalf. He does have the information on how the medical policy was written. My insurance company has until 11/1 to make a decision.

Thanks again for your help and support. I wish you all the best on a quick approval for your surgery too.
