I think most VSGers would be really ticked to lose 6 pounds a month...LOL
-

Potato Soup sounds delish!
1/2 carton of Imagine Potato Leek Soup (its smooth and pretty thin...no chunks)
Where do I find this?
-
Maybe the ones that require you to take them on a full stomach?
That's why I opted for a penicillin shot the other day.
-
I take a probiotic. It really helped me whenthe people at the health food store told me to take it on an empty stomach. 2 hours
after meals and one hour before a meal.
Thank you!!! That has really helped today :thumbup:

Ack! Ok..I can't wait to get back to work and get my mind off of all this! LOL
Seems like the more I worry, the more I stall.
I'll try go to work in more Water during the day.

I get about 900 cals a day (all full liquids).
I walk at least EOD for 20-30 mins.
A good 20 pounds has stayed off-the other four yo yo.
What gives?
I'm not comfortable lowering my cals.
I have 4 kids and a house to deal with. Eating less made me SO tired.
Any thoughts?
I would like to see a little more weight coming off before I hit my 1 month 'surgiversary' on August 10.
-
I'd like to see the scale move a little more..but it's ok. I think I've only lost 2 pounds this week.
-
Is that you in your avi? You don't even look like you need WLS! You are so pretty.Umm may I ask about bathroom issues? Of course you don't have to say but others may be having the same problems. It might make them feel better if they are not alone.
You are so sweet! You can't see my fat body in that pic :001_tongue:
At first (after the surgery for about a week) I had the 'runs'. At about 2 weeks post surgery I stopped going 'No.2' so I needed to start Probiotics.
I don't care for yogurt, so I bought a pill that's supposed to help:thumbup:

Thank you so much, ladies :001_tongue: I'm just keepin on keepin on....

As far as the refried Beans, I thinned it out with taco sauce and a bit of sour cream...then chewed the dickens out of it! It's actually probably going to be my biggest mushie source of Protein because I can't see blenderizing any meat and eating it! I'm not a big meat eater anyway, so that totally grosses me out.
.
I'm with you on this one....
and LORD you made me hungry with that bean 'recipe'...LOL

First of all, I lost the site. Now I bookmarked it and will be able to get back easily.
Secondly, I had a difficult recovery and very tired/lazy...LOL.
Stitches didn't 'dissolve' like they said they would. 2 got infected. Finally got them out yesterday and got a penicillin shot..
I'm still on full liquids until Sunday.
Now I have a funky achiness in my new tummy area...I think it's from the probiotics-was having a HECK of a time with the bathroom situation.
Haven't lost any more weight (actually put 3 pounds back on-but probably water/hydration).
I'm only 2 1/2 weeks out, so I'm not worried about weightloss.
I finally walked 30 mins last night - for a while I was only able to do 20.

ok a mom of eight......cofee is a daily requirement if i do not want to get buried under laundry!I just pee a ton between my coffee and all the protein!
I used to love coffee. Haven't had it since starting the pre-op diet.
I do have probs with reflux (still on full liquids here until Sunday).
Will the caffeine make my reflux worse?

I was thinking of this today. Have an achiness on my left side under one of my stitches. Kinda feels like gas, but no other symptoms.
I did start taking Probiotics yesterday...bathroom troubles

Please post your thoughts.

Some things your family can do:
1) You'll have weight lifting restrictions at first so they can help out by doing chores that require lifting.
2) Get an agreement about what they can and can't eat in the house and in front of you when you are on the liquid diet. Remind them that this time is not forever but it's probably going to be hard for you.
3) Ask them not to be your food police! (Unless that's okay with you, but it drives most people mad.)
4) Be prepared for mood swings and unhappiness on your part -- your hormones will be going nuts during this time and that effects different people in different ways. You may not be too bad or you may be a crying irrational mess. It's best to be prepared. :001_smile:
Good LORD this is all true!!!!:thumbup1:
