  1. Great! Keep up the awesome job!:001_cool: Congrats!
  2. Congrats! You will do great, Vegas!
  3. P.S- Congrats on a less than 40 BMI! That is GREAT!
  4. Yep, the smell of food is a "Killer". The sleeve makes it so much easier, since we are not starving! I love that about the sleeve!
  5. Starting Weight: 248 lbs Goal Weight: 145 lbs Approximately 80 lbs to go until goal! Woo-Hoo!
  6. Not to me, these are the only ones that Ive tried that don't. Then again, everyone's taste seems to be be "more sensitive" after the sleeve with sweets. My smell seems to be "more keen". I cannot stand the smell of fried or greasy food, thats so strange to me. But no, these Protein drinks dont have the aftertaste to me.
  7. Thanks, you will be on the sleeved side soon! Good luck with your procedure.
  8. Thanks for the encouragement Judy. Good Luck on your VSG on 10-1-09! Keep us posted.
  9. Sorry, here is the link for the pro to go creamsicle: WonderSlim Pro To Go Protein Diet Drinks: RTD Protein Drinks I would like to add that the only other flavor besides Creamsicle that is decent is the chocolate, the other flavors by this brand were gross. I ordered a few of each kind, my fiance will drink the others (he likes them, he's thin and will eat or drink anything) LOL. I did also like the ProtiDiet vanilla- it really tastes like a vanilla milkshake on a hot summer day. So nice, I will be ordering more of those. Here is the link: www.dietdirect.com/proamino-protidiet-proti-shakes.html The link for the unjury unflavored is: www.unjury.com you should be able to search for the flavors *Also, I would also like to state that I was not a big sweet eater prior to VSG, so my taste buds didnt change, so I dont think that the drink is too sweet but hopefully you wont either. It has a really refreshing, "summery-tropical" taste. So hopefully you like it. Enjoy Shanda
  10. Thanks for the encouragement, I see that you are being sleeved in a few days. Congrats! Yes my emotions have leveled off. I only weighed once because I didnt want to get let down and you know in the beginning, its iffy anyway because you are trying to figure out what to do! So just focus on hydration and Protein intake. I dont even want to try carbs until im @ goal. When I say carbs I mean: breads, etc. Carbs slow my metabolism because I keep wanting more and more and more, etc. So you will do well. G'luck on your surgery. I pray for a speedy recovery for you.
  11. I was surprised that is virtually undetectable. It does add a certain thickness but I cannot taste it at all. You should try it, I figured that is the best thing for me, since most protein supplements are absolutely horrible! The unflavored (unjury) and the "pro to go- creamsicle" Protein Drink found on www.dietdirect.com has been a lifesaver for me. Thanks for the encouragement.
  12. Yes, it is a blessing, I have not felt physical hunger since the surgery. Do I have cravings...YES....but that is just that nature of being overweight and eating what I wanted to for 27 years. That is why this is just a TOOL, we are still doing the work! We still have to control what we eat, but like you say its soooo much easier when your stomach isnt grumbling and growling when you are on a diet, I hate that!
  13. NSV= non scale victory I know when I first read it, I wondered what it was too. LOL Thanks for the encouragement.
  14. That is great new, Tiff. Enjoy! I pray that he has a safe trip to your home.
  15. Hey guys! I am so excited to give you all an update of my newly sleeved progress. Although, these last few wks have been challenging, when I got on the scale this morning, it was ALL worth it. I am down 22 LBS since being sleeved, I cant believe it! I have not lost that much weight before. I am 80 lbs before I reach my goal. Below are thing that I feel have been working for me: 1. Ive been working out everyday 2. Drinking at least 70 oz of Water for the last 5-6 days (im finally able to drink an adequate amt of fluid) 3. I have found a Protein supplement that I can tolerate: (pro to go's creamsicle protein drink- just add water and there ya go. It has 15 grams of protein in it, around 80 calories, around 7 carbs. I drink about 3 per day. Then for the rest of my protein I add the unjury's unflavored protein to my Soups, Jello, etc. Oh yeah and I have an NSV. I went to a restaurant to get some Soup (as I was tired of that ones that ive been having). They gave me an 8 ounce cup for my soup. I got home, took about 5-6 tsps full and WAS STUFFED! Can you believe that. That 8 oz will probably be my lunch and dinner today! What I am finding is that water easily goes down but when the item is thicker (such as cream of chicken soup, etc) I get full so much quicker. I just had to share my first scale and NSV's with you all. I know that its not likely my weight loss will continue at this rate but im glad that I got a good start with it. ONEDERLAND will soon be here in about 20 lbs, so im looking so forward to that! Thanks for listening to me rant.......:patriot:
  16. Wow. your weight loss has been great in such short amt of time. I just cannot wait to see 30lbs down! I know I will get there, Im working out like crazy and making sure to get my protein and water, I am trying to work this sleeve the best way I know how!
  17. Okay, that is great to hear! Get you some rest, dont worry about it. Those things happen all the time. Relax, follow up with us in the a.m. to let us know how your night went. G'nite ..Hope your tounge gets better.
  18. If it is a fungus or something, I dont believe that should require emergency room visit. I know you are worried, unless of course its impeding your breathing or airway? Otherwise, you will have to sit in the ER for hours. I would follow up with PCP or surgeon tommorrow, if you have to. I would take some deep breathes.....im with Tiff, if you arent experiencing any abdominal discomfort (nausea, vomiting, abdominal distention or cramps) then you are probably fine. Keep us updated.
  19. Thanks. Im sure you are correct. It is really weird how the whole shabang just makes you cranky, irritable and just plain mean sometimes. LOL It is getting much better and I am making more of an effort to check myself as I realize that I have gone through alot. So for now....I will try to tone down the drama queen. :svengo:
  20. Mmmm...never tried it w/ cheese. Is that good? Im a huge cheese fan.
  21. Congrats, your journey is going very fast! I am sure you will be very happy with your choice.
