  1. Yeah I know! That's why I titled the thread like that... haha And even then I get the answers I need. Awww your bad boy is a cutee patootee!!!
  2. 25 Lbs in one month is really great. I "only" lost 19 lbs in the first month.
  3. Excellent advice thank you! We do have a rather large house. I have also noticed there are only 2 areas where she does relatively well but when she's in other parts of the home she will poo all over! LOL
  4. As a matter of fact, yes I'm feeling great today! How are you? What's up with that?
  5. I need to teach my Puppy better manners. She does the pee pee good on her puppy pads, but the poo poo could be better.
  6. @Lissa, You are just incredible and you are always jumping right in to help anyone with the distress call. You are a very hard working lady and you deserve every bit of happiness that is coming to you right now. Thank you for all you do around here. And of course, you are looking fabulous!! @mdefabio, So true EVERYONE here deserves recognition. This website is for and about support and we do a darned good job at it. But since you are the very last person to post, I'll go ahead and give you some kudos. Congrats to you for doing so well in only 2 months out! You're looking great and based on what I've read so far you sound very happy! That's what I'm talkin' about!
  7. It is important to take a look in the mirror every morning and say something positive from yourself to yourself. You are your own worst critic, but you can become your own best ally. Try this on for starters: "I am stronger than my enemy, and I am dedicated to creating a healthy body and mind!"
  8. I got this idea from another website and I thought it was pretty genious. It can be anything from personality to looks. Since no one has posted in this thread before me, I'll choose someone at random. I choose Ms skinnyness: She is just a gem. She's a hard worker and even though she can be a little tough on herself I do admire that. That is what it takes to get the job done! ETA: Aaaannndddd she's a cutie!
  9. + Awesome Kristi, and know this - the time does fly by!
  10. I agree with you Lissa on the Sex partners question. Though I've been lucky and found mine rather quickly still, I'm glad I had a few to compare it to! My greatest fear is not having all my personal dreams and aspirations not come to pass. I'm holding those reigns however, because I believe with all my heart that as long as you put the hard work in, anything is possible. Sky's the limit. Whats the one thing in your past you wish you could go back in time and change, and why?
  11. I also want to answer your questions: #1: This should never be a reason to either save or not save your life. #2: I love steak too, and yes I can eat it. I can't usually eat more than 3 or 4 Oz, but that is all anyone should eat. #3: I eat salad too.
  12. If you're allowing stories (and do you know for a 100% certainty that these stories are completely true?) to make you doubt and change your mind then in my opinion yoiu may not be fully ready. It's good to know about the bad, but just so that you may be prepared in the event it does happen that way. There are never any guarantees. Perhaps you just need more time to think about it, or maybe you will never be fully ready. Either way it is your body and your decision to make. I'm wishing you the best in whatever you decide.
  13. You changed your handle. Confused me not! Good luck, though I know you have plenty.
  14. In class we did talk a little about Stevia/Truvia. The Instructor said those sweeteners were originally meant to be a supplement, not necessarily a sweetener. She didn't say wether or not they can cause problems. I think too much of anything can possibly cause issues. What I do now is add one packet of Splenda and one packet of Truvia and it works for me. I don't really use Splenda/Truvia any other time of the day.
  15. I have recently heard some not so flattering things about Splenda. I'm am cutting down my consumption of it by a lot. It is said that anything more than 7 packets per day is detrimental in the long term and can cause cancer. I highly encourage all veggies and legumes/beans. This Starting Over plan is only meant to be in the very short term and I do not personally recommend anything more than 5 full days. I believe 100% that we should eat a well balanced diet. HTH!!
  16. STOP dieting... START living. Permanent weight loss is exactly that, permanent. There is no end! There will never be an easy way out, unless you think eating healthy and working out is simple. I'm changing my attitude today! I'm going to start enjoying nourishing my body with good foods and sweating with a smile on my face. =)
  17. What were you doing when the Twin Towers, Pentagon and Flight 93 were attacked? I remember it like it was yesterday. I had just barely awoken to grab some coffee and watch a little news as always. That day would never see the same in me again. If anything I learned a valuable lesson that day, on exactly what hate can do. "In memory of all we lost this day 11 years ago. Praying for all of us that we especially consider what hate can do. Staying positive and respectful to all living things, and hoping someday for peace. "Imagine" ~John Lennon" My status for today 9.11.2012
  18. Awesome!! All of you have fantastic goals. The main goal though should be to continue to work hard during the Holidays. We have so many reasons to give excuses on why we should have a little bit of this or that. However, it's best to avoid making those excuses. Especially if you are pre-op or less than 6 months post-op. Trying to lose as much as you can in that amount of time will prove to be beneficial and in time all of you will find out why. Good luck to all!!! I'm working on mine! My husband and I just completed a 5K yesterday. The Run to Remember honoring Firefighters and Law Enforcement and in Remembrance of 9/11. It was a great time! I was far ahead of my Husband throughout the whole race, but I got sidetracked and he ended up racing at the end and beat me by about 10 second... LMAO!! Funny thing is that was his first 5K event ever! I did some jogging and walking. We both finished under 47 Minutes, and really for me that's not bad considering I haven't ran in awhile. I pushed myself big time. My Husband told me I have a lot of power though and he did struggle a lot to overcome me. I'm extremely proud of him though. We are going to start over with the Couch to 5K because as I told him, the next event we do, we are going to Run it.
  19. toya, if you are on Facebook or My Fitness Pal - send me a friend request (links in my signature line). I'm there far more than I am here. S, I lurrrve you girlie!!! whits, I'm wishing your the best! So Wednesday it is? Just remember, stay positive and walk, rest, sip & repeat!!
  20. Amen!! You're doing the right thing. Going into this journey you will really need to be free from any distractions, especially ones that might have been seen as co-dependent. Obesity and over eating is an addiction, and until we all realize this for ourselves we will always fall back into bad habits. You're already starting out on the right foot. You're going to do wonders with your Sleeve!
  21. Hi everyone! I definitely am far more active at My Fitness Pal and at Facebook. Send me a friend request at either. Click the links in my signature line and they will take you directly to my profile pages.
  22. Hey Tina, congrats lady!! You're doing great and no matter what the NSV is, I'm happy to hear of it. Woot!!
  23. Hi there Well I hate to bust your bubble... but 40 Lbs in 5 weeks? That's pretty darn incredible. Here's what I think you should do: Give yourself a break. Be more kind to yourself. You have the rest of your life to lose the rest of the weight. When it comes to WLS the best view is seeing the glass half full and having your rose colored shades on.
  24. Healing prayers and well wishes and thoughts going out to you! I hope everything turns out for the better and that you do not have a leak! Please keep us updated.
