Question for those 8 months post op or longer
Yes, sure do!!! I notice a difference in how I feel when I don't. If I forget my calcium/magnesium/potassium - I'm getting muscle cramps. If I forget my B's or D's I'm feeling really lethargic. I have to take my vitamins and iron too. Iron (and B-12) because I'm anemic. I just like taking my vitamins, they just make me feel good. I do also take my Omegas, but not every day. Maybe a few time per week when I remember.

I want to scream!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry you're having such a rough day!! One thing that annoys me to NO END are inconsiderate people. I guess I just like to be treated the way I tread others. I take care not to park to close to others - etc. You might want to just give your Dr. a call to see about your stitches coming out. It's probably not a big deal, but you never know!! More trouble is better to catch now rather than later. I do hope your day gets better! If it makes you feel any better I also try to eat more normally in the company of others. I don't know why this is but it sure makes for misery later. It just makes it MORE apparent how different I am when I'm holding my belly looking miserable. LOL!!!

I CAVED :-(
I think our new Number 1 rule is: Never self-loath. We've done enough of that in our old lives. Today is a new day... get back on track. Every single morning you wake up, it is a new opportunity to get back on the weight loss wagon. We have to learn to balance "temptations". I personally don't see anything wrong with eating delicasies from time to time. However if you have it in your brain it is forbidden, you're going to want it all the more. Instead, enjoy the cannoli... just one -- NO GUILT!!! As long as you're doing the right thing 99% of the time, and you are moving your body to work off those extra calories, and more you will do fine. Let us not become obsessed. I know I have a hard time with that concept. I'm learning and doing better though every single day.

4th of July - WHAT WILL YOU WEIGH???
Claudia, Whoohooo!!! That's how I lose... I'll have a few very slow weeks, then bam a few weeks of big losses. Of course I like the latter... lol newme, hey it happens! Last thing you want to do is beat yourself up, the cycle will just continue. Forgive yourself and get back on track. Hugs!!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I forgot to update my weight yesterday! I'm only down a half pound from last weigh in. I know why though, I've really been slacking on my workouts. I've only been doing about 2x per week for the last few weeks. I felt a little bit of burnout from training so hard for my 5K. But... it's a new start of the workout week for me, so it's back on and crackin'!!! I'm NOT going to change my goal. I'm really REALLY gonna work my tail off to make it. And away I go.... !!!! ____________________________________________ SN..............Starting Wt........Current.......Goal.......Lbs to Goal LilMissDiva.....199.6..............196.4..........180............16.4

Favorite Beverage for now
Right now my favorite beverage is the Skinny vanilla Latte at Starbucks!! 90 Calories for the Tall - and the tall is perfect sizing for me. I don't really drink a lot of full strength coffee... so this has me buzzing... lol I usually only have half caff in the am's but sometimes a nice sweet treat is in order.

Old habits die hard
(((Hugs))) Shanny. Please definitely talk to your therapist about that. Is your therapist equipped for eating disorders? It's so hard, I know!!!

Poll and Questions for those already Sleeved:
This is good to know. I wonder how many actually do go back to feeling hunger again? Do you take a PPI? Just curious if this might have something to do with the hunger. If so, I will be afraid to not take it anymore. I'm waiting to make goal before weaning myself off it. My PCP said I should as I still get the acid bubbles from time to time even taking them to this day. Agree with Daisy, it's definitely mind over matter! I still get cravings even though I don't have physical hunger... ugghhh!!!

TV show: "ADDICTED TO FOOD"
I had been recording this on my DVR but due to other shows I'm watching I hadn't begun to watch this. I just started to within the last few days and WOW... this show is really deep. I like it. It has already made me cry several times. It is so true that an eating disorder is an eating disorder. I've had all types my whole life, they have all just manifested themselves differently over the years. I am working on them daily and likely will for the rest of my life. It sucks, but I know no one is going to fix me but me. I can get help, but *I* have to tackle the demons in order to get rid of them.

Stubborn
Hi there Elizabeth, I was able to get through the post op for several reasons. One being that I knew if I didn't I could seriously jeapordize my health! You can get food particles stuck in your staple line and can cause leaks. This is a very serious matter. Also my appetite was pretty much zero right after surgery. Nothing smelled good, tasted good, sounded good... it for me wasn't that difficult. However some do get physical hunger and head hunger after. Just knowing my above reason, it's best to not give in to temptation. HTH

Poll and Questions for those already Sleeved:
I changed my vote. I originally voted in the 70% cured - I changed it to 95% and above cured. I guess it's true that the hunger does go away over time. I rarely or never feel hunger, usually if I only wait more than 6 hours since my last meal. It's so awesome!!! Feeling physical hunger has always been my biggest enemy.

The Official What You Will Need For Your Upcoming Weightloss Surgery Thread!
Oh wow, haven't heard that one before but an excellent idea!

I was feeling down so I needed to do this...
It's not so bad really. I mean it's not tight like a 20 year old either, but I'm not 20... On the serious side though, it's something I can live with and keep covered up until I get around to getting it fixed. I can hide excess skin but I can't hide fat!!! I don't have any issues like that where I get sores in folds or anything like that. I don't really have folds... just in places it looks like that deflated balloon look. I imagine some of it will go away on it's own too.

Biotin
I use Biotin 2500 mcg. I find it anywhere like Rite Aid, Walgreens or CVS... and they're always having BOGO sales, so I'm always looking for a deal. I've been using it since month 4 when my hair started falling out. Just know that Biotin does not prevent hair from falling out. It will only help with the regrowth. I've got so much regrowth I look like a porcupine up close!!! It is excellent on the nails too... my nails are grown back so much stronger than ever and they rarely chip or break now. Good luck!
