  1. Hi guys im 10 days pre op, i had my surgery in Balboa Navy Medical Facility on the 6th of July. I was released on the 8th of July. so far touch wood im drinking ok and eating ok (full fluids ) I can get in about 6 oz of cream Soups at a time it takes about 20 -30 mins. but im still struggling to get in 70 grams of Protein i guess i could drink Protein Drinks all day but id be getting in nothing else. other fluids im getting about 60 0z a day, so not dehydration problems.

  2. I have a lot of trouble finding Greek yogurt.

When I made the pudding (this was a long time ago) I used Atkins RTD choc. and put the sf Jello and mixed it all together with my magic bullet. It was great but a lot of calories so I had to put it in little single serving size cups.

If you have trouble finding it make your own out of plain yogurt drained through a coffee filter or cheese cloth..

if you strain it for like 24 hours a lot of the carbs are drained away

.I buy Torani sf flavours and use those to sweeten then eat or take half a cup of ice a couple of teaspoons of drained yogurt and add some rasberry torani flavoured Syrup (or davanci) and blend it up in my magic bullet and make a yummy slushi for fluids.

  3. i have a strawberry flavoured Protein that i didnt think was that great so i mixed it in with a rasberry Jello it made it the consistancy of pudding but it was one way that the protein powder was tolerable so if worst comes to worst ill do that. I have tried nectar fuzzy navel not 100 pc great but better than some of the thicker flavours but i found it needed to be watered down more than they said. im still struggling pre op to find the protein i like.

  4. So I'm supposedly at goal. I wouldn't mind losing a bit more fat from my panus and boobage but I look fantastic in clothes and most of my problem areas are from loose skin, not fat.

But I'm having trouble stopping the weight loss. I've been losing 1.5-2 lb. a week still and I'd be losing more but I've been actively fighting it. Should I? Some people say to "let my body decide where it wants to be" but I'm already a size 2 on top and a size 4 on the bottom and I'm getting kind of boney on top.

Also, I've calculated my calorie requirements and I think I'd get down to 95 lb. if I don't start eating more. But when I eat more, I feel bloated and overly full. I forced myself to eat 1500 calories today and I hated it.

Is that not when you add in more "healthy" carbs like whole wheat bread? (if you can tolerate it)

rather than up your quantity of food can you not just make it higher in calories so your not eating more?

that sounds rather scary going under 100 lbs

  5. when i went through the procedures to get approval all the way along is about making changes in order to succeed. I believe id only be fooling myself if i believe that not doing so and only eating smaller portions is going to work long term, yes it would be nice but eating as i have been led me to surgery in the first place.. if i can only eat smaller amounts what happens when im two years out and eating a lot more than i can when i first have surgery??.

my plan calls for no more white bread, Pasta, rice and alot of sugar and those are changes i am willing to make.
