  1. Carrie I'm with Pretty. I will trade you any time you're ready. Oklahoma can't ever decide what it wants to be. 84 right now, gonna be 61 tomorrow, then back to 85 on Wednesday. Plus Wyoming, seriously?? I'd kill to live in Wyoming. On another note, congrats on your blended up rib!!! Looks de'lish
  2. Oh and by the way, best of luck to you on your journey. Seriously, best of luck
  3. Hold up, hold up, hold up. You are all complaining that Micki should let loose and get over feeling how they feel. Everyone is entitled to their own feelings. Now I say to all of you and to your rant post, not one of you has even answered this persons questions from what I see. Please, please, please, someone tell Micki how to delete their account so they can get the hell off this board and stop ruining it for everybody else!!!! Peace out Micki. Thanks for stopping by:) (Sarcastic smirk while typing)
  4. I think Guy should go to the meeting wearing some biker shorts Patrick Swayze stile.
  5. Um, we may have to work out some sort of trade
  6. Thanks to all the contributors. Cant believe this topic took of like it did.
  7. Hey Guy, I'm still thinking we should create an after band, men's only, results forum. Maybe call it "Inch by Inch" or "Hard Times". Maybe Steph could be our go to gal to make sure everyone is a good FIT for such a forum.
  8. I actually got some sleep last night. I love ambien!! Sleeping in comfort is somewhat easier cause I can at least be on my side now. I woke up last night though on my stomach and boy howdy that hurt. Wonder how much longer it will be before I can lay on my stomach??
  9. Worst part for me is the fear of the unknowns and the fear of trial and error. Not really looking forward to trying foods and waiting to see if the get stuck or not. I signed up for it though so I'm ready to tackle it.
  10. Debbie I completely understand. Makes me think something. What's scary is not only our quality of life but that of our children as well. I grew up in a situation where my father always worked. I hated it. He never had time for my brother or I. My father has passed on now and it still bothers me that any time I think of my early child that my father was always too busy for me. So how scary is this? To think that one day our children could say "mom/dad never did (blank) with me cause they were too fat"
  11. First off, let me clear something up. Men are not "fascinated" with their "winkies". Just because we have a close, personal, often intimate relationship with them does not for one second mean we are fascinated with them. Second, just as women try to stay fit or look just right for their man, I just want to make sure that my wife does not need to go "battery" shopping.
  12. Please, ya right
  13. You can do this. I'm day whatever it is now and the hunger pains come and go. What seemed to work for me was to constantly be sipping. Be sure and use all your options too. I drank every single thing that I was allowed. That way I never felt like all I was drinking was water, or broth, or apple juice, or white grape juice, or Popsicles. I never felt cheated on the clear liquids. When I felt hungry I would just change it up. Speaking of which, I'm hungry now. Time for some MIO!!
  14. What are you eating? Are you eating the right foods that make you feel full? Are you eating slider foods? When before and after do you drink? Seems like with the band one little tiny thing can make the biggest differences.
  15. I use Isagenix. Has so much more than just protein. Each shake has 24 grams of protein and I add one more scoop of just their straight protein for another 18 gram boost. Sometimes I mix mine with almond milk, sometimes I add a little honey, used to add peanut butter, sometimes I add sugar free chocolate syrup. Flavor just depends on how I'm feeling.
  16. Thank you guys for sharing. I actually have a couple. My scariest was one day when I couldn't get to my son fast enough to keep him from getting hurt. Still haunts me. My second scariest was when my doc told me if I don't get my weight and acid reflux under control I may no longer have an esophagus. Thirdly, when I could tell people didn't trust me in my career because I didn't look like a "do'er". I must have just looked lazy.
  17. Does anyone have any HARD evidence that this is a true statement???
  18. Gas X just doesn't work for some people. Try Phazyme. I've heard that works when Gas X won't. It will get better!
  19. I was just thinking in the spirit of the month upon us that we should have a thread to be able to tell our scariest stories. Those stories that relate to our band or weight however. Since it gets brought up all the time but just in a different way, I thought one place to be able to read them would be good. Maybe it's the time your doctor told you if you didn't lose weight you would never see your child graduate or maybe it was a time you had a stuck episode followed by a panic attack. Hopefully this will help some people that maybe feel they were alone when whatever happened or that scary moment has only ever happened to them.
  20. Your husband should be beat with his own shoe. J/S. He must be jealous and for some reason very insecure. I guess he will find out just supportive he was when you are one hot fire cracker and you won't let him even touch you. He will figure it out. I'll admit all men are pigs but we aren't stupid when it comes to getting what we want. Oh and you don't need him after surgery. Piece o cake! You got this
  21. Nice!!! I'm thinking Guy will appreciate this the most. You're missing the hat though:) Thanks for making me the cat daddy stud
  22. Just a thought. Is sagging boobs not a positive??? Think about it. You literally get to pick yourself up off the ground every morning and start a brand new day. I would think there's some motivation in that somewhere.
  23. Arch you are bigger than you were pre surgery. You've been pumped full of gas and liquids. After five days I was laying on my non port side. Gas pain went away on day 5 as well. It gets much better and seems to happen quickly.
  24. Hey BDP, my story is very similar so I feel ya. I was thick in highschool, then hefty, then chunky. When I was 21 my dad was diagnosed with cancer. How could my hero have cancer?? Anyway, fast forward three years and three different bouts with cancer he finally passed. At this point I was fat. I went from 220 to 290. Fast forward two more years and I was obese. Tipped the scale at 367. I hated it. Yo Yo dieted for a few years and ended up getting down to 300. Fast forward a couple of more years, a recession, a baby, dissolving a business, starting another business, all the financial hell you can think of and I was back to 330. Losing weight in your twenties seems easy compared to losing in your thirties. I finally lost some and just had enough. I could tell the weight was negatively effecting me and my doc got tires of me bitching all the time. Now I'm a few days on the other side and can already tell a huge difference in how my body feels. Congrats on making such a life changing decision. Stay connected on here. There is an amazing group willing to help.
