  1. When I finished C25k I wasn't happy with my speed. I was so focused on distance that I didn't even realize I was slow. I did the program over and focused on speed. I logged all my paces and loved watching them get better. I started at at 14min mile and now do an avg of 11:15. I'd like to get it a 10 min mile but that is a ways away. Good luck!

  2. I was banded in September 2013 and am finding the learning curve is huge. It seems maybe my PA is conservative with fills but I am glad for that as it's taking me a while to learn my mechanics and signals. After this last fill I finally feel restriction and increased satiety. Let the melting begin!!!

  3. I had my 4th fill Monday for a total in my band of 5ccs. Did the 2 days of liquids and am now eating some eggs with veggies. After 3 bites I am noticing some soft hiccups. It looks delicious and I want to eat it but I'm wondering if my body is telling me no. I also have a sort of full feeling in the back of my throat, like I have a burp trapped. Does that sound to you veterans like a signal to stop? I've only had 3 bites! But in no way do I want to push it, so I will listen to your advice!

  4. I am at 4.5 months out and have lost 47lbs. I'm pretty happy with that but it has definitely slowed down for me. I'm going for my 4th fill Monday and am praying for green! I can definitely still eat portions that are not band appropriate although my self control is getting better every day. Glad to hear all us September bandsters are hanging in there!

  5. Has anyone else noticed this phenomenon? I am absolutely freezing at all times since my surgery. My hands are like ice and I am chilled to the bone all the time! I'm assuming it has something to do with rapid weight loss but wondered if I was the only one?

  6. I was banded September 17th. In the beginning the weight just fell off. Now it is going much slower but I'm at a total of 45lbs lost. I workout 4-5 times per week for 60-90 minutes, drink only Water, coffee and Protein Shakes. I eat 3 meals a day and have the occasional snack. I am averaging 1-1.5lbs per week at this point. I am super pleased with my results so far but there is always that little voice in the back of my head telling me it's not enough and I'm scared of failure. Scared of taking such a big risk and not benefitting from it. It's good to know we are all in this together. Keep your heads up y'all!

  7. Yesterday I was at the gym. I normally lift weights and do machine cardio, once a week I take a class called RIPPED. I like cardio machines because I can blend in with everyone else. I decided to needed to change things up. I grabbed a medicine ball, jump rope and a mat and went into the main gym and made up a circuit; 50 jump ropes, 25 crunches, 10 medicine ball squats and a 30 second plank hold. I didn't allow myself rest in between stations and completed the circuit 5 times. While I was proud of this step out of my comfort zone, I am most proud of my 11 year old son. He is overweight by about 10-15 pounds and he jumped right in a did the circuit with me, start to finish. Seeing his little sweaty face pushing along with me reminded me why I fight so hard and why I deserve the results I am achieving!
