Did anyone notice port pain with stretching belly or feel tighter from stomach being squished? Did your scars stretch?

Hi all. I'm 3 months out from my surgery and really need some support. I was banded in another county so I don't have access to support groups/events in the area. Do you know of any in brevard county. I'm 28 and would also like to have a buddy that knows what I'm going through and going through some of the same things. Also has been pregnant with the band or planning in it. Thanks!

I am self pay also Bc ins doesn't cover bariatrics but for the psych I was able to use my reg ins and paid $50 copay instead of $250. (Dr Baum)

I would love to hear more about your experiences being pregnant with the band. I am looking forward to trying 1 yr post op although I am only 5 days out lol.

I was just about to post that exact same question but searched for one already written. I am 5 days post op and haven't lost anything since surgery day. I thought for sure I'd loose something bc I've only had protein mixed with water, water, and sf Popsicles so with the drastic reduction in calories I figured I had to loose something. It's hard when people say don't look at other peoples weight loss but it's hard not too. That's why we come to these forums to see how other people are doing and to get an idea of what's supposed to be happening. I'm 28 if that matters lol.

How did the baby flip your port? Did you have the port sewn down?

I decided to only tell My husband and mother. I didn't feel it was anyone else business. I was just banded 3 days ago so not sure if that will change once I loose the weight. I just didn't want to be a conversation piece or everything be about my band or how much I've lost. When my son is old enough to understand I plan to tell him also. But for now it's my business. As overweight people I'm sure most of us are embarrassed by the fact that we are "fat".... But hopefully not for long

Does anyone know what the sauna does for the excess skin? Like how long you have to use it and how many minutes? Any experience with this making a difference?

Saw your post. I was hair banded yesterday 9/18 and I'm 28. I totally know what you are saying. Everyone I saw in the office or hospital were all seniors. Feel free to message me I'm still figure g out how to get the replies on these threads. I live on the space coast. Are you near there?

I was like that the first few days also but it gets better. I'm 4 days out from surgery still nervous but physically feeling better. I think it was sugar withdrawals and the drastic change of eating. Good luck

I have my pre-opp apt today and have been going back and forth about this decision im so nervous. but today kind of makes it final Bc I am self pay and need to pay $3,000 at my apt today. If I make it to the apt today my surgery will be 9/16 ahhhhhhhhhhh
