  1. johnsonsnickers good luck tommorrow you will be just fine. i am 13 days out and am so happy i did this. first few days some pain, but after you will be so happy.
  2. nope do not sleep on your side, be cautious. My doctor thinks that i either popped a stitch or pulled a muscle. i had this horible Burning pain for about 20 minutes, i thought i was going to die. so be very cautious. i have been sleeping on a lounge type chair. and when i move back to bed it will be on my back. i am 8 days out. so please do be careful.
  3. I have to agree with mostly everyone on here so far, your wife needs to get on here more often. So sorry to hear she was confronted with negative feedback. I think it’s great that you are trying to support her, but ultimately she is the one that needs to make changes if needed or get help. your support will only help her succeed.
  4. i am 5 days post op, and have a sharp needle pain around my port. when i make a sudden movement in bed or get out of bed or laugh. it feels like i have a needle inside of me. has anyone else felt this? tommorrow i have my post op doc appt.
  5. Just got banded yestruday. i have been home all day today sleeping. couldnt sleep at the hospital due to bad gas pains. Especially in my back and neck. did feel very nauseaous and threw up pretty bad in the hallway, nurse freaked out on me. i have to say it was pretty scary. i have been walking around to help the gas, i feel very achy and tender. its almost sureal that i actually did this. i just hope to be feeling better soon.
  6. My surgery is tommorrow as well! And i am so excited :smile2: Maybe i wont feel so excited after its over, but i just cant wait to get it over with. I lost 10 pounds on my preop and that just got me more thrilled. just think we are starting a new journey in our life.

  8. Hang in there, remember you are the only one who can make this decision. no matter what they say or think its your body and you know whats best for you. My father wasnt supportive of my decision, didnt surprise me one bit. he told me what he felt. and first thing out of his mouth was a story of men who dead from the gastro surgery. I told him that was a diffrent procedure from the lapband. but that was that, he didnt mention it again. Everyone else has supported my decision. Of course the comments are there, are you sure, wow you will be giving up lots of foods. I hope you can find someone at home or around you that can be supportive, and use this website. Maybe after you go thru the procedure they will see you will be happy with yourself and mostly become healthier.and will support you. Many people do not understand the struggles of losing weight and especially keeping it off. Good luck in your journey.
  9. My husband told me my body will be dextoxing from all the Carbs its so used too! i started laughing " food junkie" but its so true! i felt so tired and sleepy yesturday. I didnt feel hunger in fact i felt full and couldnt get my mind to drink more than 3 shakes yesturday. I do need to up my Water intake, with being full i only had one bottle of water and another one of of crystal light. hopefully today i can drink more or tell my brain that i can. i also have a headache this morning. will try some black coffee and tyenol. this being my 2nd day:thumbup: :thumbup:wow sbush 12 pounds lost that is awesome. hang in there spidey mom i know the feeling. WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbup::thumbup::lol::tt2::tt2::sad::smile2::tt2::thumbup::smile2:
  10. My first day on the preop! I started my day with a cup of black coffee and splenda. an hour later i drink 1 optifast shake. followed it with a water bottle. it has been about 4 hours and i am so full. i dont know how I will be able to drink another shake. i guess i have to force myself sometime soon. my doc recommends to drink 5 a day along with water and crystal light. So being the first day not too bad. My approach is dont even think about it and do it! good luck to everyone!:thumbup:
