  1. Hello all! Although I haven't had any of those traumatic sounding stuck episodes, I have had a lot of sliming (which leads to minor vomiting). Is this normal? Have you guys experienced this ? I know I need to work on eating smaller bites, chewing, and taking a break between bites.

  2. I wasn't vomiting or anything like that. I feel fine now. I guess that's how the band talks to us lol. I didn't get that feeling until about 20 min after I finished eating. Guess it was working it's way down

  3. Hello. I was banded jan 15 and have lost 42lbs. The other day I over ate and felt a tightness under my bra underwire. After feeling uncomfortable it finally subsided. I am feeling some residual bloating and discomfort 2 days later. Is that normal? It doesn't hurt just feels uncomfortable. Now I totally understand the power of the band. I'm certainly not going to over eat again. You guys don't think my band slipped do you? I would be in more pain I guess.

  4. FYI my nutritionist said the following:

Here are some Chinese food Suggestions:

Pick a Protein like tofu or dark meat chicken with mixed vegetables. Shrimp is a good choice too if you can tolerate it. Moo Shoo Vegetables is another dish worth trying. Ask your server to "go light on the oil" to limit calories. Stir frying is another good choice. Black bean sauce or garlic sauce with little oil are other options. Fish dishes at Chinese restaurants are usually very moist and tender and are good picks. If you can tolerate dumplings try steamed vegetable dumplings-make sure to ask for a sauce on the side to lubricate the dumpling as they tend to be sticky. White rice tends to be sticky. Lubricate brown rice or other rice in the sauce from your entrée or with soy or duck sauce. Soups like miso, hot and sour, egg drop or wonton can be consumed alone as a meal or an appetizer.
