My surgery was yesterday. I won't lie...the first day was rough. to no incision pain but my stomach area below my ribs hurts quite a bit. Stayed overnight in the hospital. Have been trying to drink plenty but feel nauseated when I drink too fast. Only vomited once but got phenergan which helped. Woke up this morning feeling TONS better. Still some nagging pain around my upper belly and diaphragm but the nausea is much better and I feel more human.walking the halls and ready to go home!
I hope you get to feeling better quickly!

I'm two days out from surgery and I'm feeling great! I've also had little to no gas pain but I've stayed on top of the gas-x strips. I was surprised to only have 3 incisions and I'm not having problems laying on my side. Good luck everyone and I hope you all have great experiences.

Was just banded this morning and I'm feeling really good. I haven't needed and pains meds at all and have been doing a lot of walking. I feel the gas rumbling in my belly but I've been using gas-x strips. I am a little sore at the incision site but I'm surprised at how good I feel.

Thank you. I'm very blessed to have an extremely supportive family, especially my husband. This forum has helped a lot as well.

Well tomorrow is the BIG day! I will finally be banded and I'm a little nervous but super excited. I lost a good friend because of it but it's ok because God has placed many more who support me 100%.

She was upset and afraid when she thought I was having gastric bypass but was relieved when I told her I was doing the lap band. She seemed supportive after that but recently she has pulled away a great deal. I've asked her if she wanted to work out together when our kids are in school and she said no she would rather do it first thing in the am. However she and another girl in our neighborhood have been working out together when the kids are at school.

I'm less than a week away from my surgery and I'm excited! I do have to say that I'm disappointed the my "best friend" is not supportive at all.
