    August Surgery List complete

    I had this same "problem"...congrats!!!
  2. Yes I am soooo relieved! I just have to figure out the Addison's which I've called my doctor for and then after recovery I should be good as new! So excited for a better, healthier year!
  3. Thank you all for the great posts! I'm so excited and look forward to better feeling days ahead! Now, for some sleep tonight! It's so hard to sleep in the hospital bed! What's up with that?
  4. Thanks all! You make me feel so good! The support I get on here is phenomenal! Thanks again for making a girl feel good! On to a speedy, smooth recovery!
  5. Great news all! They found a kink In my small intestine and fixed it! Pain right now from surgery but no more pain after that! Yay me!!! I'm so excited that they finally found what was wrong with me and repaired it!!! On the flip side, still don't know about the Addison's disease but I have another appt with the endo doctor next week so I will find out! My bp is really low here in the hospital 84/42...they gave me steroids and a bolus to help with that. So a night here in the hospital and we'll go from here! Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes!
  6. Thank you soooo much! I pray the same! I'm on my way now....so nervous and anxious!
  7. Surgery tomorrow morning. Had adrenal stimulation test this morning but no results yet. I guess I have to wait and find out if my endo doctor ordered them for my surgeon already. I'm nervous and anxious...more this time than ever before. There's something about that word "exploratory" surgery that I just can't shake. . Talk to you all in the other side...surgery is at 10 am.
  8. Thank you so much for the kind words and thoughts...I really appreciate it! I'm hoping that Tuesday will bring some answers and relief! I will keep you posted!
  9. Thanks for all the info Susan...I'm afraid it won't keep me from having surgery but it's all in addition to because they did see something on my barium X-ray in my intestines, something like a hernia or "kink". But I am anxious to get the results which I should have all before Tuesday am. I did bloodwork on Wednesday then today and then I have the adrenal stim test on Monday am.
  10. Ok friends...a little good news with some bad news. The good news is the pill cam passed right thru...so no major blockages that we know of...the bad news here is that the pill cam according to my doctor, will not see hernias...so there still may be one in the intestines, that or a "kink" he called it the other day. Still going thru with the exploratory surgery on Tuesday. In other bad news, I saw the new Endocrinologist today and she is very concerned about adrenal insufficiency, because of my low cortisol levels; although she did say that I didn't have enough urine in the 24 hours to rule out a false reading. She did go ahead and order bloodwork today, bloodwork on Friday, and a cortisol stimulation test on Monday morning first thing to make sure one way or the other. It would be called Addison's disease if I do have adrenal insufficiency and it's really nothing to mess around with. She stated that I would definitely have to have a dose of steroids prior to surgery and any other procedure from here on after. It will keep my blood pressure from bottoming out when I go under anesthesia, which I've had a problem with every single time; in fact, they've had to keep me longer in the hospital because of it. And she thinks this may be why my blood pressure isn't regulating and I pass out from time to time. Just an update for now...I'll let you know as I get the results and before I go into surgery on Tuesday. Talk to you soon!
  11. I'm hanging in, but like I told Lisa, I'm just trying to get from today to tomorrow! Thanks for the post and kind words, I'll let you know what happens.
  12. Hi Lisa...I'm hoping the botox helps to, although I don't know much about that. Sounds like I need to do some research. But I'm all for whatever helps and I'm so sorry you are still having issues and pain! I am praying for you too! I'll let you all know what I find out tomorrow, if anything. Thanks! I'm just ready for this day to be over and start again fresh tomorrow. Sweet dreams!
  13. Today's not been a good day but I'm ok...I'm a little worried about my upcoming surgery mostly because I don't have any results yet...I'm still waiting. I have an xray tomorrow to see if the pill cam is still inside me and I am still waiting on the video results from it. Hope to have both tomorrow; surgery is on the 3rd, exploratory surgery...
  14. Well, so far so good I guess. I was really kinda hoping it would get stuck and I would have to have surgery right away so that I wouldn't have anymore pain, but I'm still not sure if it passed. I ate a lite lunch and had the same ol' severe pain that I always do but this time it lasted much much longer. And same with dinner...you'd think I wouldn't wanna try that again but I really have to force myself to eat these days cuz I'm wasting away. So maybe it is still stuck in there where I'm having problems and I'll have an X-ray next week. Otherwise I'm still on for exploratory surgery the first week of December. The dr said I'll have the video in about 7 days.
  15. I'm kinda sad about this site. I'm a sleeve to RNY revision so I had the sleeve site and the bypass site. But on my profile since I had the RNY latest it gives me only new content on the RNY so I can't see any of my friends or threads on the sleeve side...it's hard to lose all of your friends and threads...
  16. Yes! And now the capsule cam is scheduled for Wednesday (insurance finally approved when I called today) and now I'm even closer to finding answers! We should have all the results I need before I go in for surgery on the 2nd, which my surgeon has yet to confirm the time. Oh, and one other thing...I have that appt with an endocrinologist on the 27th because my cortisol level is 14 when it should be 530. That has something to do with my adrenal glands but I'm not sure why they're outta whack. But still...slowly trudging thru it....and answers are slowly coming but at least they're coming this way. Talk to you soon!
  17. Awwww, I like you too! That makes me happy! Besides, I don't carry a stick!
  18. So happy to hear this news Niki!!!!! YAY for you!! I have been waiting to hear back from you. The capsule camera is easy I thihk. With this one, I think you just swallow the capsule and it takes pictures on the way down. Good luck!! Oh I forgot, what is the surgery for again? You will be as good as new! So happy for you. Yes Lisa! I'll just be so happy to have all the answers I need! The surgery is supposed to be exploratory surgery for a "kink" or hernia in my intestines that makes my stomach or I guess belly, really, hurt when I eat, and it bloats bad. But it shouldn't be much of an exploration if the capsule does it's job! That's what I'm hoping for anyway!
  19. Thanks girl! I'm so happy too! Good to hear from you! I thought I'd lose you with this new site! Ugh!
  20. Thanks girl! I'm so happy too! Good to hear from you! I thought I'd lose you with this new site! Ugh!
  21. Great news! Had my CT Angiography this morning and it came back normal! No surgery for a stent! Yay me! Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes! Now on the the capsule camera test and then surgery December 2nd. Then I'll be back as good as new!
  22. Yes, Lisa, sounds like you're being very reasonable about all of it! I would definitely get another opinion, especially that of a GI doctor...they know all the ins and outs of our bellys! And I don't know how to explain it but my surgeon is just the doctor who did my surgeries but my GI doctor is the one who's explained everything to me in vivid detail. Not trying to take anything away from my surgeon who has been phenomenal but he was just concerned with what he had done as far as my surgeries were concerned, nothing else. I also never had the spasms you are talking about just the extreme GERD where I couldn't keep anything down and couldn't eat or drink without it coming back up so I can only imagine what terrible pain that must feel like. Please go see the GI doc and let me know what he says! You're in my thoughts and prayers too. Hugs, Niki
  23. Lisa, when are your tests? All I've been doing is talking about me!!!! :/ I'm not a very good friend!
  24. Thanks so much for the well wishes and the comments about the stent. I'm so nervous about that. I just hope the test comes back and says I don't need one! I try to stay positive but sometimes it's hard...ask Laura-Ven...I have my bad days too. And believe me, I need all the prayers I can get!
  25. Thanks for the compliment Linda...it is kinda amazing how good you can look with a little help and how sucky you can feel on the inside. As of right now, the feeding tube is a no go...as long as I can maintain and function until the 2nd of December...that's a big if. My surgeon definitely does not want me to have one...but the GI doctor is insistent if I can't get my nutrients in and if I lose too much more weight...no real number on that though. And I really had to put my foot down to get my surgeon to look further...but at least I got my way today and they did find something so that is good news. I'll keep you updated on the 2 new tests.
