  3. I had surgery Oct. 10. Felt ok afterwards just sore at incision locations. Gas was very very mild and I had no pain meds. But yesterday (6 days post op) the gas started up with a vengence in my left shoulder, back and stomach. Using Gas X. Think I need something different, any suggestions?
  4. Day 7 - had my post op visit with the nutrionist. Stocked up on goodies for week 1-4. Just had dinner feeling pretty good. One week to go.

  7. The surgeon doesn't have any control if you are approved or denied. Once all the requirements are comoleted and submitted the insurance company reviews it and makes the decision. Unfortunately you are at their mercy. I was approved within a week. Some insurance companies seem to deny the first time then approve it after the appeal. Everyone seems to have their own experience based on the insurance. Just my opinion. Stay positive and don't worry. Good Luck.
  8. Day 1 - 3 shakes and a meal. Missed 1 shake was suppose 2 have 4 shakes. Still working on the last 16oz of water. Small headache but doing OK. Not hungry, which os good.
  9. It definitely helps me 2. I go for my post opt diet plan tomorrow and I will be banded on Oct.10. Good luck to everyone.

  11. I don't think you are unrealistic about Nov. 1. My last 6 month appt was Sept. 10. I had my lap band instruction class on Sept. 16. ( I was able to schedule this once I was complete with my last 6 month visit). The Dr.'s office called on Sept 19 and told me I was approved and gave me a surgery date of Oct. 10. Good luck. I hope it goes quick for you.
  12. Correction. I started in March and April was my first official visit. Don't know where my head is today.
  13. Make sure that was your first visit. I started in April but they told me the first one didn't count and March was my official first visit. Also the appointments had to be at least 30 days apart. Rules....Rules.. Rules. (They always find a way to make it complicated). My last visit was Sept. 10 and I was approved on Sept. 19. Surgery Oct. 10. Hope everything goes well. It will all be worth it.
  14. Congratulations!!!! I'm scheduled fir 10/10 as well. Good Luck and stay blessed
  15. I am scheduled for the 10th also. Im very anxious, nervous, scared but really excited. Didnt know I could have all of these emotions at the same time. Good Luck. Hope all goes well.
  16. I had to do the 6 month dr supervised program as well. Every month I had to see the Dr and a nutritionist. The nutritionist had me on a 1500 calorie diet that included 4 shakes and a meal. I started on April 8 and finished on September 9. I was approved on the 19th. My surgery date is Oct. 10.
  17. I got approved today. Yeah. October 10th here I come. Nervous but I can't wait. It been a long time coming!
