  1. I will give it to True Results... I did EGD 9 days after first appt, and set surgery date for exactly 2 weeks after that. They got results where I couldn't by just researching what was covered. I let them do the work.
  2. I had the same group, but Hollis
  3. I had a moving expression day after surgery. I was on protein shakes before and starting day after surgery. Everything seems like a watery powder... but I have a lovely moving expression at least once a day. I am using a water your body app to keep hydrated.
  4. My doc has tomato after a week. Right now I have had sf popsicles, sf Jello, chicken / beef broth, miso soup, juice and most importantly my doc said to restart Protein shakes day 2. I am working hard to get calorie intake up to around 800. Before I did, the scale was frozen... last night after getting close it dropped three pounds overnight. I love the miso broth. I have put a dash of garlic powder in chicken/beef and today a drop of Sesame oil. Delish. Keep going! In the moment it doesn't seem worth it. Everyone is right... it gets easier each day.
  5. The bra was pressing on my puffy belly... could be down 16 pounds and it is too loose. Could be 5 days post op and belly is just distended. I didn't want to wear button up/zipper pants. Just belly is puffy like a baby belly. Heh.
  6. So I am dressed and in my office. My bra, the wire, is hitting the top of my abdomen. And when I went to put pants on... belly distended. Went with elastic... Sigh
  7. Worthiness. I have read and listened to work by Brené Brown. Link here Brene Brown: The power of vulnerability: She has great YouTube videos, books The Gift of Imperfection and audiobook The Power of Vulnerability.
  8. So last night I was in a lot of pain and perceived a feeling of set back. Gas pains or whatever still killing me in chest and left shoulder. This morning doing better... going for first walk here in a minute. Down 16 from start of journey. Still moving slowly and some pain. I go back to work this afternoon. Starting with seeing just two clients. Fuller day tomorrow and almost full Friday and Saturday. Sunday 6 hour training I am not looking forward to... sigh. Therapy is a lot of sitting, but my mind still doesn't seem to be 100 percent. I am avoiding the pain meds until after sessions today. I hope the Tylenol will help. Just dragging...
  9. So B52. What do you see? I missed where the thread changed into how you are doing the life change...
  10. I talked to Aetna an affordable care plan and they said they didn't cover. True results red oak/Hollis, could tell I had hietal hernia just by a questionnaire. The patient advocate said even if it was hairline in size, the insurance would cover. Again, we paid 2500 for everything...
  11. Yup, never thought I was as heavy as I am/was. I am down 15 pounds and already looking at my soft areas. Worried that I will become more unattractive with excess skin. Sigh... better go see my therapist soon.
  12. Just banded Halloween. All I can offer is a warm hug. This is a great forum... someone will respond.
  13. Welcome... I went to True Results Red Oak.. first appt 10/8. The 17th EGD, Lap band Oct 31 Hollis. We paid 2500 total, but everything was cleared with insurance in about 3 weeks. Welcome again
  14. I have put them in the children's Tylenol... it is so sweet... then it is done quickly too...
  15. So, still tons of gas pain. I have walked miles, drank hot broths, hot compresses, a hot shower, taken gas-x. What more can I do? Is Isopure good hot?

  17. Surgery Halloween. My mood sucks and I still have tons of gas pain. I have been doing everything I am suppose to do and can't seem to get going. Sigh...
  18. Wow! Thanks! Luckily nothing i take is on list. Will still be asking pharmacist. Thank you
  19. The link didn't work... hmm. Help?
  20. I haven't tried taking them whole. I just assumed I couldn't.
  21. I take a statin, an antidepressant, and heartburn medicine. I also take Iron, a multi, and Calcium citrate. I have been crushing up the meds and was wondering if I had to and if anyone has any tips for ingestion? Can pharmacies make my meds into suspensions? Please share your experiences. I am 4 days post op.
  22. The sock things are to prevent DVT. They work like blood pressure cuffs while you sleep. My shake I decided to do full strength instead of watering down. A little harder to drink. Sip, sip, sip
