Found this product on line & ordered a few packets, didn't realize it had real coffee in it. Trying it today in small amount sipping very very slowly. Not sure I can handle it yet, only 1 week post op.

Thank u Symone, my "battle" buddy. I have termed u this term of endearment for the following reasons I hope it doesn't offend: I come from a long line of military and the term battle buddy is given to your partners bro/sis who endure battles & missions with u. Leave no man behind & only someone experiencing the very same mission and struggle can ever truly understand the emotional, spiritual and physical toll a battle takes on someone. My immediate fam has requested I continue on my mission....our mission. I am first case tomorrow, did u say u r too?

I did not get my pretzel, I cannot drive due to broken leg, but fam brought me outback to go. Steamed veggies, teriyaki rib eye and cold stone to top it off. It's after midnight let the clears begin. Yikes Ok what was your last supper?

Hey gia24, I can chat with u anytime. Surgery for me oct 1st started on clears. I have a friend and niece who had same surgery. How's it going? My fam has no idea the emotional toll this has even just the prep phase.

Hey gang I have not seen/read much talk on forum about post op co2 gas. I had lap gallbladder surgery and the incisional pain was nothing compared to horrific co2 pain settles in chest and shoulder. People say oh walk it off, it isn't that kind of gas, walking does nothing for that. I can't believe after millions of surgeries over last decade no one has devised a way to remove co2 gas after surgery complete. It realllly hurts.any thoughts or experience?

Your gut goes to sleep like the rest of your body. Walking helps bowels to wake up. Narcotics & calcium supplements are constipated. U may be still experiencing the co2 gas pain that I referred to in another thread

Too far out for post op gas. Walking, pooping? Any pain meds left? Heating pad?

What a nice group of folks we have. I looked at nutrition forum and submitted requests for the free protein samples and discount coupons, they r starting to roll in thru mail. I ordered liquid vita, premiere protein shakes from cosco. Amazon for coffee protein shakes, unjury, protein jello, chicken soup. Trying to stock up

No preop diet since I was fast tracked to surgery. Anyone heard how awful post op co2 gas was. I had it after gallbladder & it hurt for 3 days, no incision pain, awful co2 dissipating into skin and shoulder. Miserable. People say oh walk it off. It's not that kind of gas, that suggestion is useless. I looked at sev other surgical sites, no recs.

I start 48 hours liquid diet on Sunday, surg tuesday

Haven't had surgery yet (oct 1), but this sounds like fun. I will post my starting weight day of preop. I have a cast on my leg, so not gonna to be an honest weight
