  1. VERY great comments!! It seems like all they could do is DO THEIR JOB!!!! Aren't they getting paid to do this???? LOL....sorry to hear of your troubles...Deanna
  2. That must be quite exciting to meet new people who never knew you as heavy!!! I can't wait. It will be nice to have some talk to me and not be wondering how I can be this fat!!! Deanna
  3. Oh yes, I ride EVERY DAY!! If I don't I feel bad (physically) We having a blast at it though. I sweat like a freak, but I don't care. Last night some guys drove by and were yelling out the window of the car. I asked my DH if they had never seen a fat lady riding a bike before. Funny thing I don't "see" myself as fat anymore until I go by a mirror or glass window, then I see how far I REALLY have to go still. Oh well...I will get there soon enough. Thanks for all of the info on the bike, its interesting. Yeah, I almost got hit last night. Some idiot in a truck pulling a trailer behind him...IN THE BIKE LANE!!!!!!!! IDIOTS!! Deanna
  4. Yes, I think so. So, basicly it is a comfort thing???? That is what I am understanding from you. That is so awesome you have that kind of trail available to you. I have to ride on the road and these damn people act like its a "CHORE" to move over so they don't hit you. Deanna
  5. Gadgetlady, You and I have the same kind of relationship with hubbys. If he wants something he asks, if I want something I ask. Gosh there is so much other crap to deal with in life day to day I can't imagine NOT being able to have an affectionate, loving hubby to talk to about it all. I just wish everyone would have that I guess. I feel sad for those who don't get treated like the queens that we ladies are!!! Deanna
  6. You really should ask your doctor about this. My doc didn't want me doing situps for at least a month. Every doc is different, so that would be my advice, ask him/her. Deanna
  7. GOod job Tim!!! I love that you do it 7 days a week!!! That is great!! Deanna
  8. Great posts ladies!!!! A lot of things to think about definitely. The crock pot is so right!!! A little help with the kids and household chores goes A LONG way in my book. Although my kids are older, when they were little I had to make dinner, then give baths, do dishes, pick up after everyone and it is damn tiring!!!! Some men need to be gently pushe toward behaviors that will help and some probably need to be shoved. And then there are those who will NEVER help their wives no matter what is said to them. I have a few Brother in Laws like this. Deanna
  9. I was NOT covered by my DH insureance... I paid 12,000. Deanna
  10. Sam, Can I ask why you are getting unfilled? And is that totally unfilled? I follow your posts almost "stalkingly" because you are SUCH an inspiration to me and to LOTS of others from what I have seen people write about you! Thanks for sharing. If it is NOMB, just tell me..I will go away...lol...DEanna
  11. awesome pictures!!! You look fabulous. You rock.....I loved the pictures. So, tell me something, from a dumby on recumbent bikes. What is the purpose of them. Was it that it was physically impossible to ride an upright bike or is there some other logic behind these bikes that I have no idea about. I have seen a few here in my area, but very few. I was wondering if there is some added benefit to them? And also, what do you do with your arms and hands while you ride??? Thanks so much for anwering. GOOD JOB on the weight loss!!! Deanna
  12. Good exercise vibes going out to EVA...I agree Juli...now I can RUN up the stairs...before I would try anything to NOT have to go downstairs so I wouldn't have to go back up them. I LOVE IT!!!! It feels great!!! Deanna
  13. Ok, on the pickle juice...JUST DON'T DRINK IT THE DAY BEFORE YOU ARE GOING TO WEIGH YOURSELF!!!! That could prove to be disasterous....That is really interesting on the pickles. Makes sense with the lactic acid. Thanks for the hints and advice on this one. I also would say no riding until your stomach digests your food. Good job on your biking trvgrl...Deanna
  14. OMG...this is THEEEEE FUNNIEST thread ever....I thought I would wake up poor DH from laughing....thanks guys...you made my night.Deanna
  15. Green, yes, why is it that the in laws find it hard to except that you and hubby and YOUR kids are a unit and that does NOT have to include any of them!! I don't know, my son moved out and I let him call me, or come see me. I don't show up unanounced and expect to sit with him or expect him to come to my house and be with me all the time. This is what I have waited for...him to grow up and be a man. I actually have an update...I took MIL to the bank this afternoon and she said NOT ONE WORD TO ME about the weight. I was so happy, I wanted to hug her!!! Deanna
  16. LMAO Tommyo...thats great....Deanna
  17. Yes Juli, that is what it is all about all the GOOD things that come from it. WHY would people NOT want to do this?? I know...it is the getting started. If they would just get started....it only takes a few weeks and then YOUR HOOKED!!
  18. ok, about the pickle juice....WHAT????? I am curious as all get out about this!!! Deanna
  19. I agree with the friends. As I age, I just want to do my own little thing and not HAVE to make time for others. I actually get really annoyed if someone calls me "just to talk". I would much rather spend my time with DH. I am weird that way. I have had many friends and then I seem to always let the relationship go for some reason. Probably because they get too needy and want more of my time. Maybe like liz said a night class, a book club some different gatherings. I know our university has a band play on Wednesday nights in the quad for free and tonight DH, I and DD went on our bikes and enjoyed some music. ALL sorts of people were there doing all sorts of different things. Some were there just to listen to the music. Some were playing frisbee, some soccer. Some were playing with their dogs and we talked to A LOT of those people because the dogs liked us I guess. Good luck on finding some way to find some friends that you would like to hang out with and do some YOU time. Deanna
  20. and then you WILL exercise, and then you WILL play with your kids, and then YOU WILL be sociable. I have changed A LOT since 50 pounds are gone...I used to sit in the house and not do a damn thing but worry about being fat. I can't wait to see all the great and glorious things that I am going to be able and WANT to do when all this weight is gone!!! Deanna
  21. Just an update I am QUITE happy about. THe store took my Schwinn back so now I don't feel so bad about having the nicer bike!! It is a Raleigh Venture 3.0. It is LOVELY!!! Deanna
  22. I wanted to take a minute an apologize for the way my last post sounds. I was not trying sound bitchy or rude or "almightier". I am truly sorry if anyone was offended or put out by the way my post sounded. Deanna
  23. WOW...what a power statement...Thats all I can say about it...POWERFUL!!!! Thank you for sharing. Deanna
  24. I really honestly don't have a clue what you are going through. The only thing I am afraid of is not getting thin FAST enough. I do have to say that since 50 pounds are gone, I am getting more attention from men and that kinda irritates me. I am THE SAME person, maybe I am just more approachable now. Deanna
  25. LMAO Mark...thats funny
