  1. Ya know, I was thinking they are making clothes bigger these days too!!! I think they really are, to accomodate all the heavy people and obesity in the country. THey make the clothes bigger, put the smaller tag in, wah lah, people don't have to deal with weight gain.....its a conspiracy!!
  2. J, you have done so good with your weight loss. What size do you think you will be when you are done? Have you ever been a 16 in your adult life??? I was a 16 back when I was 19, not since then.
  3. What is your 10 week goal plan HP? Do you have a copy of it, or something that you just made up?
  4. and I actually thrive off of bicycle challenges. It makes me work harder and go longer knowing that someone else is doing the same thing!!
  5. Oh man J, I know right where your coming from. I am in a 16 too and it feels sooooooooooooooooooo great to be able to buy in the ladies section, not the womens, but man, put a swim suit on and then looking in the mirror is not my favorite thing to do. I ended up with a tankini and mine has a skirt too. I am not sure who I think I am fooling though, I mean, you can tell what I am trying to cover, I guess its just not all hanging out. This weekend, I wore a sundress the entire time, except when we were far out on the water. Anytime we came to shore I put the dress back on. I am sooooooooooooooo self conscious about the loose hanging skin on the inner thighs. I don't think there is anything to make that go away except surgery. The stomach issue is another one too. I don't know, I wonder even with plastics if the body dysmorphia will ever go away. The funny thing about the radiologist was he was bigger than I am!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Good job on the two pound loss HP!!
  7. Did you notice I am under 200 to my goal????? Next season I think it will read 2000 miles to goal....
  8. OH, and HP, whatever you wanna bring on for a challenge, you know I am up for it!!
  9. Oh, boy, a day of thunderstorms here. Went to the resevoir yesterday and had a blast. I didn't tube. I wanted to, but didn't. Probably not getting in my 38 miles tonight, one, because of thunderstorms and two, friends are coming in from out of town and we are having dinner. Hmmmm, could get out the trainer....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I just might!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So sad when someone dies needlessly Oh, I forgot to tell you all what the radiologist said to me as I am getting ready to go into the MRI machine. He says, " I may have to reposition you before we do the spine pictures, because with bigger people sometimes the neck needed to be moved around to get the best picture." I want to kick him.....I said, "wow, you should of seen me last year at this time if you think I am big now".....he was stumbling over himself then.......I was not too happy about that....I thought to myself, I guess I am still fat looking...that was not too good on the self esteem.
  10. K, Traci, my goal next week will be to beat you in mileage!!!! LOL, just sayin'!!!!
  11. I heart riding mountain passes!!!
  12. WAY TO GO TRACI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are rocking it, especially in the heat, that is the hardest....be careful out there!!!! I got in 28.40 tonight. Average speed 16.3, and did it in 1:44......now I am super happy about that!!! We take Sundays and Wednesdays off for rest days, and those are days we go to church too so works out great!!! We are actually going to the resevoir tomorrow to go fishing and tubing, so won't talk to you to night time, but super good luck on your ride tomorrow!!!! You will be caught up to me in no time!!! Long, that is so awesome!!!! It feels so good to do something and it doesn't hurt anymore!!! I remember walking to the mailbox used to kill my knee!!!! Good job on the biking too!!! Maybe it was easier because you were warmed up more and then did the hill, instead of just starting out doing the hill, ya know?? LaLa, good job on the riding!!! Keep it up and you will soon be the girl you want to be!!!
  13. Who's do people even recognize the person you have become????? This athlete that has emerged from you must be quite a shock to some that knew you before Lapband time.
  14. First thing you need to do it pat yourself on the back. That is a great weight loss!!! Then you need to call around and see how much it is going to cost for fills somewhere. You are worrying about the cost without knowing what it is going to be. You have to take an active part in this before you can start worrying. What will worrying about it do for you anyways? Nothing, so stop worrying and do what you need to do for you!!!! Not having a fill is a great thing. If you are getting stuck without any fill, then you don't want a fill anyways. Also, I doubt you have stretched out your pouch without any fill. There is no pouch with fills. I would get your mind set back on why you did this for yourself in the first place, start exercising again, and see what happens. I went without a fill for three months and lost a huge amount of weight without one. Chin up and look to a thinner you!!!
  15. Oh, I forgot to say, don't wait, do it now.
  16. This exact thing happened to me. EXACTLY!! It was shooting up into my throat at night, I couldn't sleep at all. I tried sleeping sitting up in a recliner, that helped a little, but not much. It hurt so bad, I put up with it for way to long, weeks, don't do it. Its only money and it will be so worth it in the end to be able to eat again. I lost weight during that time because I couldn't eat, I had to have all of my 7.75cc taken out and a barium swallow done because I waited so long to go in. They wanted to make sure everything was ok with the band. Everything was ok, I was just too tight. That was in May of 08, I am now back up to 7.25 and doing great. It took about four days after unfill for the hurting and pain in my throat to go away. When you do go in for an unfill, be sure to go liquids for a few days to let your stoma and throat heal.
  17. Lonely here. Very lonely.
  18. Got a lot of miles in tonight....on a mountain trail........going straight up.......4 miles....I am impressed.
  19. Oh, great, hopefully they work out good for you!!! We are having wind advisories here so good thing we are gonna be up in the mountains and trees.

It's been exactly 15 months since I took the plunge and got that little friend that has taken me to places I didn't know were possible. I am now down 104.5 pounds and bike around 130 miles a week. I NEVER in my wildest dreams thought that I would become the person I am today, NEVER!!!! I thought I might lose 50 pounds and I might walk a few miles a week, but never this. I HOPED for this, but as we all know, the many, many diets and disappointments had harden me to not expect this much!!! BUT, lo and behold, here I am in this new body and this new attitude.

  22. i see you on here J, hi, hope your having a great weekend!!
  23. I think we are going mountian bike riding tonight, so not many miles, just hard work!!!
  24. I feel you on the disappointment. Thats how it gets sometimes when my DD goes. She lolligags around and pedals really hard, then stops pedaling for a long time, then she is way behind, then she passes and stops pedaling and then all of a sudden she is done. We are 10 miles from home and she wants to be done. I think when she goes it is just going to have to be a recreational ride, then I won't get disappointed!! Went for the MRI and will hear Monday hopefully.
  25. I am going to do at least 27.8 miles tonight to get to 200 miles or below for my goal this season. Then a couple of more weeks, I should hit goal for myself.
