  1. Ready to take off running after my first Fiji last wed., My fill was almost painless

I even didn't mind mushies for two days and of course the liquids before that. I was ready to do almost anything to get rid of this voracious appetite. Well it didn't work quite like that, I am still hungry but at least it was somewhat better, something I can control to a point. Doc said he thinks it will probably take another fill before I can feel some restriction. The fills are done slowly to give the body time to heal from the fill and adapt to it.

Whatever, I am somewhat disappointed, and even took a few steps backward, but it was short lived. I am happy to say I am back on track with a renewed vigor, because I am closer to this band working and THAT'S EXCITING ! Sure didn't take long to get back on track. So that is the story of my first fill and now I am on track to attempt the thirty lb. loss before Christmas, not that I plan to take off 30 lbs in the next ~ 14 wks, but the challenge sounds like fun NOT stress. My goal is to take off 2 lbs/wk and it should be fun!

  2. Some people prob look at it as a cure all. But it is still a lot of work there is NO easy wat to lose except maybe a serious disease and that is not easy either. I chose to tell my husband and daughter and that's easy. If someone wants to know I am on a lo carb hi Protein diet which is the truth. Just figure no one needs to know and I am not a conversation piece, that way.

  3. Guess I'm not as brave as you guys are , except maybe rn2 wn. Only my daughter knows and my husband. I just did not want people looking at me and asking "how much" or giving me their opinion . I figure it is none of their business (even my Mom and brothers, sis in laws, etc) I know in time the questions will come but it won't be like all the crap some of you have to put up with!

  4. Today my husband bought me a glider and recumbent bike combo. It is pretty stiff and will need to keep maneuvering some of the settings until it is perfect. So much easier on the knees and the back than treadmill. Am physically challenged since a stroke several years ago..very excited til i hop on it tomorrow and start making one more chart of what I'm doing ( exercising, drinking, eating and bp) .guess I sound anal and perhaps I am but I like to have a complete picture . Muddy I am in Awe of you, all that weight you lost and while dealing with so much pain, you are a true winner - congratulations to you!

  5. Well I am definitely on the right page, postoperative 9 days and starving for something to chew. A Chinese chicken salad sounds heavenly right now, basically I am hungry and 10 days more of graduating to mashed potatoes just doesn't seem to do the trick right now. Ten days sounds like an eternity but yes, I will do it, with God's help that is! Well I guess I just needed to vent, feel better already. Thanks for putting up w/me.

  6. I am a 7 day bander so this is from what I have read. Sounds like you feel miserable prob because as you say , you have over eaten, and the pouch wll eventually stretch if that continues. Best of luck to you!
