I am totally amazed at this lap band thing!! It's awesome!!! I had 4cc put in my 10cc band during surgery and just went in last week and got a fill of .5cc. I didn't think it did anything until yesterday. I can only eat half of what I was eating last week!!! It's just wonderful!!! I am feeling full on such a small amount and am not getting hungry again for about 4 hours!!! I love it!!! I didn't think I was losing weight because I haven't been as hungry as last week but I weighed myself and have lose 2 1/2 lbs since Thursday!!! I know u don't have to feel hungry to lose weight..it's just a mental thing lol...I just wanted to say how happy I am right now

I know it prob won't last but I will love it while it does lol...thanks all

Went for 1st fill, but dr. tried twice to find port...no fill

I had my first fill last week and my doc didn't numb it either and it didn't really hurt..just felt like a pinch and he had to stick me twice. Everyone's pain threshold is different and I couldn't imagine getting it done while I was still sore from surgery. I would think u would b more healed way before November tho -
I am four weeks out from my surgery and I don't know if it's a mental thing knowing that my band is there but I have no real food cravings anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love it!!! Has this happened to anyone else? I have pretty much cut sugar out of my diet and now I'm just not craving sweet stuff anymore. I am not craving anything else really either....I am not worried about it..I am HAPPY!!! Was just wondering if it has happened to anyone else and if so, did your cravings return?

I can only feel mine if I lay down...guess it depends on how deep it is....congrats on your surgery!!! I am four weeks out today

I was wondering how may calories u guys consume in a day. I am almost 4 weeks out from surgery and my starting weight was 257 and as of three days ago I was down to 239...I had figured out that before surgery I was consuming roughly 3500 calories according to a calorie counter. It said that's what I needed to maintain that weight which is what I was doing somehow. I am trying to get between 1000 and 1100 calories a day and was wondering if that seems right. I am losing weight so I'm not complaining just curious. I have not been told what I should b consuming.

Yes, mine actually got worse near my port site before they got better. It was a few days out from surgery that they looked really bad

That is one of my daily goals too, to make sure I get all my protein. I was told I need at least 90g of protein a day and I always get at least that much. I seem to be doing pretty well for now with the amount of calories I'm getting in now. It's sometimes hard because I'm not in the green zone yet which I know will take a while and I am mostly hungry but I am determined to work with my band and finally get this weight off. I already feel better with the little bit that has come off already ...can't wait to see where I am in a year!!!

I want to not feel like people r staring at me because I am fat. I want to go swimming in public and not b embarrassed. I want to like the way my body looks. I want to go to an amusement park with my kids and actually ride the rides with them. Too many more to name -

Has anyone else had the surgical glue on their incisions instead of stitches or staples? I did and it's been almost three weeks and it's still there...I am not picking at it but it's a little annoying now that it's peeling off lol. If anyone had it, how long did it take for it to come off??

I was just wondering if anyone on here has ever chosen to not have any fills? My surgeon placed 4cc in my 10cc band during surgery. I am still on mushies and after I eat, I am satisfied for 3 to 4 hours and I think I have decided that I don't want a fill. I am deathly afraid of vomiting or getting stuck. I have been logging my intake on MyFitnessPal and have been consuming less than 900 calories a day since I started mushies. I get to start on solids today. I think I would rather b a little hungry before my next meal than to run a risk of having a stuck episode or throwing up. So, I was just wondering if and when anyone has chosen to not get a fill....thanks..any advice is greatly appreciated
