  1. I am the same day!! I get worried too which I usually dont for surgery. I just want it over already, plus the preop diet is kicking my butt. I also find I am nesting at home. Like I did before having my son, Trying to get everything straight.
  2. I started my preop diet late last week and most days it is a struggle. I do fine all day then by nine I loose my mind. Yesterday I had a tooth pulled and I am in a lot of pain (dry socket I think) so I am on pain meds. I find that it is hard to not give in. I am cranky and the pain meds give me migraines. I haven't really cheated, but this week can't go fast enough . My surgery is the 23rd and I am down about 6lbs but I really hope it is easier after the surgery.
  3. I have told just the ones that need to know. A few friends and some family. I guess I am a little embarrassed but mostly I feel that most people are ignorant about the surgery. They make judgments and I don't want the negativity. It bothers me that so many think this is the easy way out, I haven't even had mine yet and it has been really hard already. It is bothering me that I have to lie to some family and friends and say I am having Gallbladder surgery but it should be about me, not anyone else’s feelings.
  4. As long as no one on my FB page can see it I would love to join. Lynn_whalen@iibi.com. Thank you????
  5. in looking at what everyone is eating it appears no one eats carbs anymore. Does everyone give them up? I know it is protein first I am just surprised..and a little nervous.
  6. Ok so day 3 of 3 wk PreOp and I really want some crunchy snacks.. a few pretzels maybe. I won't but I want.
  7. I thought that was only for Gastric Bypass. I could be wrong of course.
  8. Do you use milk or water? I wonder why your Dr was against RTDs.
  9. I have been drinking premier and at the moment I really like it but I wanted to get some others. I got a sample of unjury and with milk it is ok but with water... gross! If you use powder which one and do you use milk or water? Milk adds on a lot of sugar (12g) for skim.
  10. Damn, mine is 3 wks and I am fairly low BMI 42 with no complications.
  11. That is such a great thought. I love the thought of never seeing my number again. My diet is 3 wks and it is 4 protein shakes and clear liquids or 2 shakes and a lean chicken or turkey with greens. It is suppose to be 1000-1200. Staying around 1000 and I am hungry!
  12. Hi all, I got a list of the vitamins I need. Multi, Calcuim w/D, and Iron w/C. They did suggest the chewables. I have looked online to buy them. Funny thing is all of them require 4 chewables each. Is this what everyone takes. It is of course kind of expensive then but that is ok but how does anyone eat that much everyday?

You are awesome!! I had no idea. I did the HCG last year and lost 27 l s in 5 wks. I never heard the end..." it's going to give cancer.. I don't know the damage I could have caused. " I can't listen to it again. Thank you again????

I am going crazy with this myself now. I have told 1 friend, sister, husband and mom. y problem is I have an Aunt and sister in law that I need to tell that I am having surgery. I talk to them everyday and they will know I am missing. I absolutely lovey sister in law but she is extremely judgemental. I so don't trust that it won't be spread around my whole neighborhood. So now I have to lie about what kind of surgery.. I was going to say gallbladder and I am sure with my luck in a year I will really need it out.
  15. Thank you everyone!!!!
  16. What do you put in it to stop the sour taste? I had the FAGE this morning plain 0% and I used a splenda in it. Is this what everyone does?
  17. I am on a 3 week PreOp diet I have been told I can drink 4-5 protein shakes a day (160 cal max) and have clear liquids. I was also told I can have greek yogurt. My question is what kind? The ones with fruit and vanilla are pretty high in carbs but the plain is awful. What kind did you all have to eat. I know I will need this for after also.
  18. So far (surgery is 3 wks) I have told Mom,sis, BFF and husband. They are all very supportive. I telecommute so work has no idea. The others in my life that have to know I am having a surgery I will probably say "gallbladder". I have enough on my head and I just feel better this way for now. Who knows if that will change. I really believe that we only have to answer to ourselves.
  19. Thanks everyone. I guess I should be happy there is only 2 more days. I have the preOp for 3 wks.
  20. My PreOp diet starts Tuesday. I know this is wrong but I am eating like crazy. Like I will never be able to eat again. This is so my old pattern I was kind of hoping that realizing I was heavy enough to need surgery I wouldn't react like this. Is everyone else being good before their preOp diet?
  21. I'm in Sept 23rd. Now I have to begin the diet and pre testing.
  22. Got my surgery date today. September 23rd. So happy????. Now starts the dreaded pre- op diet.
  23. Me too. Going crazy. I was really hoping it would be done in September now I am getting nervous that it will go into Oct. I hope you hear soon.
  24. Aww I am so sorry, that's horrible. I really hope they gave me the right answer on the phone when they said it I should be covered. I hope to hear tomorrow when the surgery date is.
