  1. I can totally relate!!! I have the tumor also. I gained a considerable amount of weight in a short time (before being diagnosed with it.) My friends who I told, never really reacted. Maybe because they don't know all about it? I'm getting my lapband out this week, then, in 3 months getting the gastric sleeve. I'm ready as ever. I wish you much success!!
  2. I can relate. Went out to a restaurant today with my family. Ordered chic noodle soup & had the broth only. Day 1 of my liquid diet.
  3. Thank you for posting this topic! I love all the replies. I'm on day 1 of my liquid diet. Not easy. The replies have really helped.
  4. ReviseMe that is soooo exciting! Your surgery is coming up soon ? Thank you!! I wish you much success too!!
  5. Awesome! Your surgery is coming up! ? Here is to good news on your test results ?. Due to my insurance, I had to have two separate procedures. It would have been nice to have my band removed & the gastric sleeve at one time. However; I'm just grateful insurance is covering both.
  6. Oh, the same commute for me too! ? It will be so worth it though (all the traveling). ?
  7. Great point, K_aane! Like the saying goes "To each is own."
  8. I'm from IL & having my surgery in Missouri. Where are you from? Thank you for asking!
  9. I love and agree with all the comments. For myself, I'm keeping mum. I'm having a 2 part procedure. I'm having my lap band out, at the end of this month. Then, the gastric sleeve surgery, 3 months later. I mentioned to a coworker, (who is retiring the week I'm supposed to come back from the first surgery). I mentioned that I would be out for medical. She said, "are you okay?" Needless to say, I said yes, everything is fine. I don't want to hear the comments & questions at work. My husband, kids & parents know. They are my true support system. Maybe in time, I will tell more people? However; I keep my private life, private, for the most part. ?
  10. Yay! Thank you!! Good luck to you too!! ?
  11. Thank you, OutsideMatchInside!! ?

  15. I have my lap band removal at the end of this month. I met with my surgeon again today. I can't wait to get the sleeve in 3 months. I had some anxiety, but, he calmed my nerves.

  20. I agree with all the comments. Here are just a few things, I look forward to. I want to feel comfortable getting my picture taken. Not shying away or getting out of the picture. Not having to buy Plus Size clothes. Oh the booth, I can relate. Also, being able to sit comfortably in a seat on an airplane. Feeling confident in a swimsuit in front of the public. Not having anxiety, when getting on the scale, at a doctors appointment. Oh, I could go on.
  21. I'm new also. I joined 4 years ago & haven't been on since. Welcome!
