  1. Ok it's been almost 8 weeks since surgery. I have had 1 fill of 3ccs. On the 12th I'm going on.this Friday for another fill. I have stalled, and seem like I'm always hungry,, however I have been stuck about 3 times before fill and once since. ( learning to.chew) .... Also having issues with not drinking while eating..I have to work harder.. I went.to my local thrift store, and bought a few shirts in 2x size..so I have incentive to lose to wear. I have lost weight 40 lbs since start of adventure in April, my 32 pants fall off so do my 30s.. 26s I put away cuz they were to small can be zipped up with out laying on the bed.. I need to get back.to.the gym.. Just haven't wanted to.. Lol guess I'mbeing lazy. After this coming fill. Hoping to start my journey again, and start the gym..
  2. Congrats =) YAY.. -Debbi
  3. Muscle weighs more then fat. and makes you look leaner, allowing you to lose inches. Congrats on the Inches lost.. WTG.. -Debbi
  4. Right there with you with Foot issues.. I haven't found anything I like doing in the exercise category that helps.. I had Achilles Tendon Surgery and its still slightly tender and sore, .. But I do agree with the above.. Track your calories. I was amazed what I put in my mouth. Thinking" Oh its not that bad", when It really was. I hope everything works out well for you soon.,. -Debbi
  5. You can do it. I would go back and see your doctor, You said you have restriction, so Maybe you can talk about why you think it didn't work the 1st time,, ( Stress, Family,Being board, etc) Then Track your calories, "my fitness pal" is an amazing asset I use almost everyday. It has restaurants and Fast food place calories listed. You made the hardest step.. Deciding you need help, and came back.. the rest is gonna be easier. -Debbi
  6. I had my Surgery the 6th of September, and I am So hungry too, I have my 1st fill Friday the Oct. 11th, and I am hoping it helps. I have been holding steady at the same weight for a while, Not losing, but not gaining. Its also hard when You have 3 kids (15,10,5) who are constantly eating NO-NO foods. But.. I have been being good.. Kinda sorta... Tho I know I can be better. Im hoping once Filled, I will be satisfied, and not scrounging around like a rat looking for more food.. ( giggle).. Also I need to stop drinking so soon after Meals, Im sure that is killing me too. But.. Its a learning process.. I do eat less then I did before My band, And I do find when Im busy doing other things,( like reading or worken at my haunted house) I am not grabbing a snack, or wanting something sweet or salty. . I didnt gain this weight over night, and its not gonna come off over night.. -Debbi
  7. walk walk walk... and use a heating Pad/ Throw... it helps with the gas pains so much. Congrats on surgery.. and welcome to the start of your Journey =) -Debbi
  8. Suck on ice chips.. or eat a popsicle... it helps alot..also remember to walk when you can..
  9. I had surgery on 9/4 and just over a week and 2 days out.. My tummy growls too, and does that grumbling thing. I usually get a drink.of Water, or a chew a piece or 2 of SF gum. I fool my tummy thinking if my mouth is moving, I must be eating.... Dumb Tummy.. Its not food time yet.... -Debbi
  10. Im excited to wear the clothes I grew out of again. My jeans are looser, I dont have to lay on the bed to zipper. My tops are not so tight on my hips. I think I may wait until after christmas.. or buy some stuff on clearance this fall.and put them away for next summer. Gonna take a guess and say maybe i will be XL to 2x, -Debbi
  11. Dont worry. I have had a few surgeries.. Planned =) and unplanned =( .Just make sure you know if its fasting blood work you need to have done, or not. Dont eat before you go, if your not sure. I have accidently did this before, and had to wait til the next day. Added worry. It will go well. and you will be fine.. Dont worry. -Debbi
  12. sugar free hard candy is a saving grace. It makes you feel bad.. but they are low calorie .. They have sugar alcohol which burns off in your body. Had this same issue last month on Pre-op diet. -Debbi
  13. Don't freak out..I know easier said then done. I had surgery last Friday, and surprised how well I feel. I have been taking it easy sleeping when I need to..check it's surgery, but after having a c.section, 2 normal births, 2 foot surgery, appendectomy, and 2 Carole tunnel releases, this was the easiest. My port site is so sore, is my only complaint, and as if to day since day of surgery I have lost 13 lbs...not typical..I know, and weightloss will slow down soon, but I will take it. Also total I went from350 in April to today 311....I was cleaning my closet top shelf and saw a shirt I threw up there cuz it didn't fit any more..today put it on...fits like it did when I bought it.. It needs to be ironed but I don't care...IT FITS!!!!! :-) I'm on cloud 9.. Today is my pre op visit.. So I get to know my next food items.. -Debbiq
  14. I hope your feeling better... it really helps to walk..even just around you house..it Moves the gas out.. -Debbi
  15. Well tomorrow marks a week since I had surgery, and I have to say I am feeling pretty good. Im still tired every now and then, but over all i haven't had any issues. All the stari-strips are gone... and my tummy still looks like it went a few rounds with a boxer, but over all... this was cake. Mmmm cake. Tomorrow I see my Doctor for my postop visit, and im guessing we will move on to mushies.... Pureed soups and smoothies also SF Popsicle have been my meal of choice when I want to eat. I can get a cup of stuff down at a time, just have to remember to eat slow, The burping kills. OMG. Also, it still is sore to take a full breath, expand lungs to full, cause of incisions still healing, and maybe the other stuff that got moved in side during surgery. I have also been sleeping on my side, kinda front since Monday. Found a heated throw worked good for the gas pains,if I wrapped it around my left shoulder, and over my tummy. Ooo and haven't taken any pain meds (or 4 advil at night per my doctor) since Tuesday. I hope you are all doing well, and if you have questions ask=) -Debbi
  16. Ok.. I itch...I am allergic to latex and some adhesives.. I had surgery on the 6th, And I'm still pretty bruised, but healing ok.. I just itch.. the stari-strips and this clear adhesive pad.with a gauze pad under it.( it's by my port) I was wondering if I can help take them off..before they fall off.
  17. I wish I could poop..lol yeah TMI ..but gah..I'm sure I will feel better..and then to top off my suffering I got my period yesterday..cramps... When it raisins it pours.lol -Debbi
  18. I had My Surgery also on the 6th. Before today I have felt fine, but today I am having the bloated, gassy feeling, its bugging me and making me irritable. I went for a walk outside and I felt a little better, except when I came back in, I started feeling yucky again. I also haven't taken any pain meds or Advil today, Was seeing If I could get thru the day with out it, but its not looking like it. I did manage a half cup of butternut squash cream Soup this morning, but thats about it for fluids. I try to drink some gator-aide but i just dont want anything cuz of the bloated feeling. My gas pain has almost subsided in my left shoulder, just a twinge now and then when I lay down. Just wish this feeling like I cant sit still, and nothing keeps my attention for more then 5 mins, Even writing this post is driving me nutty. Its such an odd feeling, -Debbi
  19. It went well. I am on to cream based soupS, I haven't been feeling much pain, but today I am a little. My port side is bruised and the stair strips itch a little. All and all I feel very good. I can eat about a half cup or a little less in about 20mins. If you have any questions lemme know... -Debbi
  20. Sorry your in pain. It really doesn't hurt except in the port area, its bruised and sticking out a little bit. Not sure what pain meds your on but im on Liquid 7.5 hydrocodone. 3tsp every 4 hours except at night, he said take 4 advils at a time. --Debbi
  21. Clear your Cashe and your cookies. If your still having issues. --Debbi
  22. Hello.. well its been 24 hours since I have gotten home from hospital. My lap bad surgery went well everything is going good so far. I tolerated the clear liquids last night, so I moved on to cream soup today. I can eat about a half a cup at a time, no real pain =) I also have some left shoulder pain from the gas they used, I have been walking as much as I can. I have stari-strips on 4 of the 5 incision but the 5th by port has a gauze pad and huge adhesive clear pad on it. I am bruised by port. If you have any questions lemme know I will try to answer. -- Debbi
  23. Less then 24 hours and I will be banded. Surgery is at 3.. Suppose to be there at 1. I'm so anxious, nervous, excited, and over all ready... My anxiety had been kicking my arse today, so been taking a half a xanax.. about every 5 hours. My stomach has butterflies... And to top it off I'm PMSimg.. So a nice chocolate bar would do me wonders.. lol Told my husband I'm done for the day, just gonna watch tv..And veg.. The stories that were posted before on this topic have helped, so I know I'm not the only one with this fear.. I will talk to you when I get home tomarrow.. Since surgery is so late, I plan on sleeping in..:-) ~~Debbi
