  1. I hate to complain as I know that this site is free to me. But I have to agree that I won't be logging on anymore from my cell. It freezes constantly and drains my cell phone battery. I hope there is a fix soon.

4 weeks post op, not getting full

Looks like your surgery was in August and this is September. 9 lbs is right on track. Bandsters usually lose 1 to 2 lbs a week. I did my whole journey at 1 lb a week. You can't hurry progress and at least you're moving in the right direction.

    Has this happened to you?

Maybe it's because I live in high humidity area And am acclimated, but I haven't noticed a difference

    Advice please

I think sometimes we are in the green zone and don't realize it as we are eating wrong foods. The green zone has a fade in and fade out stage where as you are loose green or tight green if you get my meaning. Loose green is where I prefer to stay. I can still tolerate most foods but can control my eating if I eat the right foods. It's tweaking when you get here.
  5. Mine is freezing up every few minutes. I'm not getting on as much since the new app. It's just a lot of hastle.
  6. The scale is my enemy:)

    Where is everyone's port?

Go to top of page to your profile and click on it and then click on "my ticker". It should let you create a ticker with your information.

Starting 5:2 and no scale this week

I'm not a Breakfast eater, so I normally have a greek yogurt (80 cal at lunch) and the rest of my calories at dinner. I find that the yogurt gives me just enough to keep me going til dinner. I guess the problem with trying to take it til 2 for me is that we have assigned lunch times and if I don't take it when offered, I won't get it. Hubby and I are doing 3 days this week just to kind of shake things up a little.

Starting 5:2 and no scale this week

I've read studied on the 5:2 and from what I've come across, there is nothing that says you can't spread your calories out over the day. They believe it to be not as effective this way only because based on their research it is harder to stick to the diet.

    About the scale

I do the 5;2 on Mondays and Thursdays. I think I'm going to make the same pact as you and not weigh til Sunday. Heck, if it works out I may put em away for the rest of the month

    Where is everyone's port?

Different surgeons have different preferences. I think the most lapbanders are reporting that their ports are as the 2 posters mention above. Most mediports on the other hand are up in the clavicular area. I don't believe the port placement contributes to problems as much as comfort/discomfort.

    Just gonna ask...farting

Yep, I believe it might be the new norm.
  14. I find with the new app I'm reading from other WLSs more and cant tell. I like the surgeries separated more. There are different interests after all.
  15. You might consider this. I was told that if I didn't have my surgery right away after finishing my visits with my pcp, I should continue seeing my pcp monthly till I had the surgery otherwise I'd have to start all over.

    Questions for surgeon

I would read this forum and all of the surgeries and do other research on all of them as well and form my questions from the research. What types of surgeries does your surgeon do? I'd fnd that out first.
  17. I like the premier protein and also the EAS advantage shakes

Way to go. I'm still overweight by standard BMI charts...but below personal goal and plan to maintain here. Good luck with the rest of your journey

    Tiny Lady

I think that's great. I was getting off my motorcycle at Walmart and a lady asked me how such a tiny lady held up such a large motorcycle. I walked on cloud 9 for the rest of the week. Things like that keep us going.

    Let's talk poop

Yep, I waited til 55. Glad its over with. My report was great, no polyps or anything. Doc said my intestines were a little "crooked" which could explain my slower bowels. The prep is inhumane, lol.

How are things going for you now?

    Let's talk poop

Lol, I weighed after I was cleaned out and lost only 3 lbs. I expected a lot more. Just a word of caution, Be very careful during the prep. I did fine til around 10 pm. I went to the bathroom and came out of the bathroom and passed smoothe out. I hit pretty hard evidently, though I have no memory of the fall. My tailbone is pretty sore. GI doc said I was pretty dehydrated. I ended up with extra I've fluids after my scoping. The prep is brutal.

    Let's talk poop

I just had a colonoscopy this morning. Of course that means I had my prep yesterday. I'm glad I don't have to do that for another 10 years. And I don't even want to think about pooping.

    I AM BAD....OPINIONS.

Where as I agree that it wasn't him that had the surgery, I also believe that he could have been a lot more sensitive to the fact that he is going to your favorite restaurant without you. I say.....GET THE ROPE!!!
