  1. Hello All,

Today I made a year!! Whoohoo! A year ago i had the lap band and it was the best decision i have ever made. I feel i should have lost more by now but at the same time everyone’s body is different and i am very thankful for the 42 pound loss. Been at a standstill for a few months, but I’ve came too far to just give up. I feel my body has gotten used to my routine (exercise & eating) and i need to step it up to shake it out of its coma lol.. If anyone has any advice please feel free to share with me. Thank You and all new bansters congrats on you new journey and i wish everyone the best :-)

  2. I have a 10cc band and i my last feeling was about 2 months ago and i am at 7.4cc and i do have good restriction but the strange thing is ive just been maintaining. Some days i go down 2-3 and back to where i was. I exercise as well so im confused. I feel if i get any more in my band i wont be able to get down anything. So I think i may just need to make an appointment to talk with them to see if im doing something wrong.

  3. Hi Brittani87. Dont give up and try to stay positive. Like you said you have not gained all the weight back and you should pat yourself on the back for what you have lose. How many CCs or in your band? Did the doctor suggest a fill?

I had my surgery 7/30/13 and my weight is up and down. Last time I went to the doctor he wasn't happy bc of the weight I gained. However I was off work for three months due to hand surgery and us "bigger" folks when they are bored what do they turn to???? FOOD!!!! So I am trying to get back on track...I think the one thing that hurts me is I'm such a picky eater. And also I guess I thought the band would be this miracle cute but it takes a lot of work and maintenance to keep up with. I thought I would've been further then what I am but I try to stay positive at least what I have lost is a loss and on the plus side I didn't gain all the weight back that I was on surgery or before surgery so ill take it :)

  4. Hello,

I am not far from spring area right on 1960/45n. I am looking for a buddy as well, as i feel that i should have lose more weight than what I have thus far. 30 pounds since July 31st, which i am grateful but i have been at a stand still for a month now. And I am worried if i get another feel it will be too tight, as i am filled at 7 i believe and some food does goes down slowly, so i do have the retriction but havent seen the results on the scale lately and i do workout.

  5. Hello Bansters!! My name is Chaundra and my surgery date is July 31st!! I am sooo excited. It took 27 days to get my approval from my insurance (Cigna). Did anyone else call their insurance everyday, a few times a day checking the status, when you were waiting to get approved? LOL i blew their phone up big time, I was very hard waiting. But I am so glad that is over and surgery day is near.

Thanks everyone below for sharing all of your stories and experience, that has helped me alot. I have been trying to gather everything i need after the surgery. Tomorrow is my pre op appointment with my doctor. i also plan to get a colonic, as i hear that people have problems going to the bathroom after surgery...

  6. Hello my name Bandits!! My name is Chaundra. I started this journey in Feb 2013. I have cigna and they required a 4 months visit plus the addition testing. My paperwork was finally turned in June 18th to the insurance and i have been playing the waiting game every since. I have called everyday to check the status lol. Yesterday was teh first day the status changed to pending need associate assistance. And of course they tell me they have up until 30 days and will hear something no later then next week.
