  1. I had to talk assistant into 1.5 cc at my first fill last month. She was only going to do 1 cc.

    I've been crazy hungry since.

    :(

My doctor gave me 4cc at my first fill. He told me he was going to add as much as my band would take (up to 4cc). He said its more of a feeling with him and he can feel resistance while hes adding it if its too much.

Since that first fill its really helped. I can go 3-4 hours between meals.

I would talk to my doctor if I were you and see why they won't give more at each visit. Good luck!!

  2. How long did you have to wait for your first fill??

My first fill was 4wks out (1 week ago) Then every 2 wks after the first.

I feel completely different after just one 4cc fill. I can go 3-4 hours between meals. Not craving Snacks. Loving it!!

  3. Yes, to an extent it is. I had surgery a little over a month ago and struggled with port site pain for over a week and it gradually got better. It's sore there mainly because you use your stomach muscles so much getting up & down as well as just moving around in general and that port is sewed right into your stomach muscle. I would say as long as you don't have any abnormal redness, heat, swelling or oozing/bleeding, it should be fine in a few days. :)

  4. I don't really know yet. I was filled yesterday afternoon and didn't have much of an appetite the rest of the day but that could have been from some swelling. Today we're heading out of town on vacation so I hope its not going to be too hard to curb my usual pre-band road trip snacking.

  5. I was banded June 26th and the same thing is happening to me! I lost about 15 right off the bat' date=' but have held steady since. I eat about 800 calories a day too. I don't understand why I'm not losing. ugh. Very annoying and frustrating. My first fill isn't until August 1st, but I don't understand how that will help when I'm already eating less than 1000 calories per day.[/quote']

Band twins! I was banded in June 26th also. Good luck!!

  6. The goal of the pre-op liquid diet is to have high Protein - low carb foods (liquid) to shrink the liver. I thought I was dying about 5 days in...no energy, light headed, shaky, couldn't concentrate...and ate some tuna and a boiled egg white. I immediately felt better. After reading what seems like hundreds of blogs & websites I found that most WLS pre-op diets allow one low carb meal a day. I still worried non stop about my liver but added some tuna &/or boiled egg whites to my diet when I started feeling badly, usually in the afternoons. I made my husband ask my surgeon after surgery how my liver looked an he said it was perfect. I'm not saying its the right thing to do, but it was right for me.

  7. thanks ya'll i will try some of the things you all said but i have not been doing Protein Shakes cause i cant find a kind i like...

I use the vanilla body fortress from Walmart and add a little (1/2 - 1 tsp) unsweetened cocoa. shake it up REALLY good. Tastes better than any chocolate flavored Protein. I also like this protein in a blender with half a banana & some ice. Good luck!!

  8. I am just now starting mushies as well and am having a hard time eating an entire 1/2 cup because I'm so scared that ill overeat. I've always "cleaned my plate", which is part of what got me here to begin with, & now I still really want to finish my food, but can't tell if I'm full. So I just stop eating. A little after I stop eating, either I'm overfull or bloated. I don't know which.

  9. I just had my surgery on June 26th and was allowed to have soggy Cereal, yogurt, cream of wheat & blended Soups on day 2....and I thought THAT was hard. I hope it's better now for you. I'm now 2 wks out and feeling SO much better.
