B_alexis33 reacted to PrettyThick1 in Saw an Ex-boyfriend Yesterday
Yesterday I was out and about and ran into an ex-boyfriend. His greeting was "OMG...look at you, you're tiny!" After he finished showering me with compliments, he wanted to know if I was single and if he could call me sometime. I was a bit ga-ga over this guy for about a year and he didn't treat me as well as I deserved, so it was soooooo nice to tell him, "it was nice seeing you, take care". Then walking away without answering his relationship questions or giving him my phone number. Well, he turned Facebook stalker on me late last night. Even though he's not a FBF he was still able to send me a message, it was late so I didn't reply and he sent another one this morning.
I am now thinking of ways to let him know how I feel about our shot at a relationship the first time without sounding bitter - or coming off as conceited that I've changed so much since then, not just my physical appearance - I've done a lot of "me" work over the past 5 or 6 years and I think the lap band is the icing on that multi-layer cake.

B_alexis33 got a reaction from Mimi2three in Does a fill affect a womans menstrual cycle?
    Hello,
I had my first full Aug 5th and my menstrual cycle normally begins on the 18th of each month. Does an adjustment delay a woman's menstrual cycle? I just wonder if any of you ladies had this problem.

    Hi Brittany,
I have just had my second fill today. I am on liquids for the next two days and then on to mushy and then finally back to regular meals.
I don't feel badly about it. I actually look at it as a fresh start. Gives my band a chance to settle in after the filling and my stomach a chance to accept the change. I think it also helps my metabolism get a kick start in the right direction.
For me it's kind of like resetting the gauge on the gas tank after a fill up. See how far you can get on this tank of gas. Maybe this will be the one that takes me where I want to go, and maybe I might have to stop for another fill along the way before I get there.
Try not to look at it as a restriction or a punishment. It's just a way to help you find that perfect balance you need to help your band work the best for you.
Make sure you are eating enough Protein in your diet. Have something every other hour or so and you won't feel sluggish and weak. Also remember to hydrate, that can also make you feel sluggish if you are dehydrated.
Soon you'll be back on regular foods, and your tummy will thank you for the chance to get used to the band change.

B_alexis33 got a reaction from 2muchfun in My first adjustment
    Hello fellow lapbanders,
I am 1 month and 1 week post op and went for my first full yesterday and received 3.6cc in my band. I am on liquids for the remainder of the day. I have read that feeling week and irritable is normal due to the adjustment. I have lost 25 lbs so far and am trying to not let my emotions get the best of me due to this restriction. Is there any advice anyone could share about there experiences with adjustments?
    Thank you,
    Brittany

I was banded June 27th and I must say the pain has mainly been where my port is. I am trying to consume enough liquids to remain hydrated but i dont want to drink too much where i would be sick, for the most part I have been cranky and groggy because the pain is unbearable at times. Also my sutures are beginning to itch like crazy!
