What an inspiration!

I don't know how big you are but I noticed that in the larger sizes, I had to lose much more weight to change sizes-maybe 30 pounds or something to go down. But at smaller sizes the size changes with like 10 pounds lost. I've heard other people say the same thing.
Just be patient. It will happen.

I lived in Houston and went to a support group there and remember hearing good things about Dr. Scarborough.

Good luck to you. It will get better. I hardly remember my immediate post-op days but I made it through and so will you!

Thank you for sharing your journey. It is truly inspirational. I'm back on the bandwagon-wanting to really follow the rules, get/receive support, etc.-after being banded for over 10 years and maintaining a 100 pound weight loss for all that time. These last 30 are hard but I will make it. Thank you again for the inspiration. I love your story.

Such good advice on this thread. I would just add that if my surgeon said the lapband "wouldn't" work for me and pushed for a WLS that I wasn't comfortable with, I'd change doctors.
Bingo.

I've lost about 123-still want to lose about 30 more.

12 years with my Allergan lap band so far. No issues whatsoever. I'm going for lifetime!
