OK... one last post then I'm getting ready for work.... haha.... I was in "pre band class" with a guy I went to high school with... really nice guy... it made me feel much better knowing that someone I knew would be going thru the same thing I was... anyhow... We are still in touch via myspace... he was banded in July...and is down 125!!!! how amazing is that?!? Then I found out that the girl I've been getting close with at work is his sister!!! Delaware is WAY too small... haha... I have told her that I'm also banded so she is keeping tabs on me.. making sure I'm getting my water in... and keeping me away from the snack table.. she's a health nut so she's pretty good at keeping me on track! have a good day everyone!! And remember when you go to reach for the junk food... MEMORIAL DAY CHALLANGE!!!!! WE CAN DO IT!!!

LauraP... I tried to post a message to you yesterday..guess it didnt take.. BUT.... AWESOME FOR YOU!!! How thrilled were you by buying a size 8... but someone pushing you towards size 6!!! I dont ever recall in my adult life being below a size 10. I'm curvy.... and even at a size 10 my face was very thin...and still had the butt and boobs.... so I'm not expecting to get below that size... but OMG.. if I did... I think everyone would know!! I'd wear the darn pants inside out so everyone could see they were a size 8!!!! HA!!!!

OK guys... I need some words of encouragement... I've worked out (cardio only) the past 3 days...only ate what I'm supposed to..been getting all of my water in... and the scale only moved .8 lbs!!! UUGGHHH!!!!!! AND still no TOM... a week late... no worries...test was negative today. I'm miserable though... awful mood swings... I cried while watching the biggest loser last night!! Like full on sobbing!!! My willpower is getting better though... yesterday the big boss brought in some donuts and donut holes... I stayed clear!! I even told my friend at work if she saw me going for them to trip me!!! Wouldnt that have been a sight!!!!

Twinmommy... What is the process for being pre qualified for PS? Who sets the goal weight to say you can see a PS? I'm just curious... I mean...even if I do hit goal... I'm gonna wait for PS until after we have a baby...

Ok... I have a new ticker for my Memorial Day goal... It says 27 lbs...because I'm including my recent gain... including my TOM gain.. UGH... but I refuse to change my regular ticker... unless I'm losing... I just wont! HAHA...

Thank you twinmommy... Well... I've known this all along and WHY do I still continue to do this to myself... I eat like a pig with a tapeworm...then get totally angry at the scale when it reflects a higher weight?!?! I made a promise to myself to get it under control... after all the Easter feasting no more junk...AT ALL.. until I can get down at least another 10 lbs. Yesterday I was just out of control... Ham, baked mac and cheese, potato salad...then came the deserts... and we didnt have a table large enough for all of them!! Today was the start of my new plan... and it started off well... I finally got my rear end to the gym!!! I even ran! I havent run (without something chasing me) in 5 years! WHOO HOO!!!! Manatee--- PLEASE... PLEASE take it easy... OK? OK.. challange time... who wants to set a challange/goal to meet for Memorial Day???? After all... we will be banded a year by then!!! We have 9 weeks... lets get started!! My goal will be not only to be in ONEderland... but I'll take it a step further.. and say.. 190. That gives me 9 weeks to lose 20ish pounds.

  9. After a month of "trying" and 3 negative tests... we've called it off... We have decided now is not the right time for us. We have some financial planning to do before we have a little addition to the family. We were both a bit down about it... but it'll be better in the long run. ...but if you guys don't mind... I'd like to still hang around...

Mini.. I'm so sorry for your loss... hang in there. How was the wedding? We want details and pictures!! Sandra.. how are you feeling? Manatee... Glad to hear that everything is going well... just remember to take it slow. After a month of "trying" and 3 negative tests... we've called it off... We have decided now is not the right time for us. We have some financial planning to do before we have a little addition to the family. We were both a bit down about it... but it'll be better in the long run. The new job is going great... but they're a bunch of eaters!!! Ugh... always snacks everywhere...and my willpower has been awful! How is everyone doing??

Sandra... I would def. get an unfill asap if you can not keep food down. Good luck..and keep us posted!

    May 2007 Banders

Sandra- What is your current fill? And do you feel like you could take in 1500-1800 cal per day? If you can eat healthy without any problems with PB'ing you should be able to keep some fill in... maybe have a little taken out... I would def. talk to your OB about it....

Manatee- I'm SO sorry to hear that... I do however remember reading on this site of another patient needing a revision when she was VERY close to goal... she was too denied.. but then was approved on her first appeal after writing a LONG letter explaining how she would end up gaining it all back (and then some) and the health risks involved. KEEP ON IT! Are they at least going to approve the removal.. I mean, they cant expect you to go on living with a slipped band!

wow! I'd be ticked too! I currently have 3cc in a 4cc band. Anytime I fall below 3cc it feels as if I have no fill at all!! Hang in there.. Maybe you'll have a delayed reaction.

Twinmommy- I'd be upset too...and $85 for .1cc?? It hardly seems worth it. The least my Dr has given me at once was .25 .... What size band do you have...and how much do you have in it?

    May 2007 Banders

Mini... I know.. I'd REALLY like to be closer to goal before getting pregnant... and my Dr likes us to wait at least a year to 18 months after surgery.... so we'll see! I'm not getting any younger though... and I really dont want the extra risks of getting pregnant after the age of 35.

Sandra, My husband and I are planning to have a baby... I actually thought it was gonna happen sooner than what we planned... TOM was 2 days late this month!!! Normally I'm like clockwork... so I took a test, negative... then TOM came the next afternoon... We were both a bit dissapointed.... it would have been a nice surprise.

OMG... the hot stone is SOOOO much better than just a regular massage... it was my first one and I'm totally addicted now. I highly recommend it!

    May 2007 Banders

Thank you! Actually I'm going again today for a trim... and my Valentines Day gift... a 90 minute hot stone massage!! Mini.... I just found the info I was looking for about the high temps breaking down protein... it suggests using liquids that are less than 130F.
  24. Melissa S

    May 2007 Banders

..The clumping comes from the drink being too hot... protein powders do not tolerate hot temps... it breaks the protein down.. making it useless.

Metal.. Nope..sure havent. My daughter went with her youth group a couple of weeks ago and loved it. We would like to make a family trip up to the mountains for the day....but it may have to wait until next year.. yeah, you would think with all that extra cushion my rear would have been well protected!! HAHA!! oh, I was a MESS! It happened up in Killington, VT... I had to drive 8 hours home laying on my side!
